Amazon Dash Wand For $7.74 – Includes $20 Amazon Credit (~$12 ‘Free’ Amazon Credit)

Note: The $20 credit isn’t mentioned on the Dash Wand page, it is mentioned here. For whatever reason the credit doesn’t seem to be automatically added, so you will need to contact Amazon customer service via chat to get the $20 credit. If you’re not willing to do that, then this deal obviously isn’t for you.

The Offer

Direct Link (affiliate links contained in this post)

  • Buy an Amazon Dash Wand for $7.74 and get a $20 credit toward your first shopping

The Dash Wand is an Alexa-like device which is especially made to easily add things to your Amazon cart. Aside from using voice to add something to your cart, you can use Dash Wand to simply scan the barcode of an item and add to cart. They gear Dash Wand toward Amazon Fresh users who are buying their groceries on Amazon, but it works for almost any item on Amazon as well.

Dash Wand enables you to get Alexa-only deals and it also works to bypass the $25 minimum needed for free shipping on Amazon.

Note: You need to be a Prime member to use Dash Wand. If you don’t have Prime, signup for a free 30-day trial here or free 6-month student trial here.

The Fine Print

  • Register Dash Wand and the $20 credit will appear in your shopping cart the next time you check out.
  • Promotional credit expires at 11:59 p.m. (PT) June 1, 2018 (next year).
  • Promotional credit only applies to products sold by Amazon.com or Amazon Digital Services LLC (look for “sold by Amazon.com” or “sold by Amazon Digital Services LLC” on the product detail page). Products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not qualify for this offer, even if “fulfilled by Amazon.com” or “Prime Eligible”.
  • Promotional credit does not apply to digital content.
  • Shipping charges and taxes may apply to the full value of discounted and free promotional items.
  • Unless an Amazon Gift Card is the stated benefit of the promotion, promotional codes (including those placed directly in accounts) may not be redeemed for Amazon Gift Cards.

Our Verdict

It’s essentially an amazon credit maker after the $20 credit. The $20 credit should work for any item sold by Amazon themselves, not specifically AmazonFresh items, which makes it easy to use up. I don’t use AmazonFresh, but it would be neat to be able to add other kinds of items to my Amazon cart, like detergent or deodorant, by scanning a bar code, and have it saved in my Amazon cart for when I get around to it. You’ll also be getting a quasi-Alexa device basically free! Dash Wand can also be used to purchase add on items without having to add $25 in items.

I’m a bit unsure about what Dash Wand does not do that Alexa does, but I assume it won’t be able to do things like play music and stuff like that. Give us more info in the comments if you know.

  • I ordered the Dash Wand and it should be arriving tomorrow. It doesn't look like the link is working anymore, and I forgot to screenshot Terms and Conditions. Anyone have a screenshot?? Please and thank you.

  • It was a struggle to get the credit and price has been changed back to $20.

Background: I had to fight with 3 different CSRs to get the $20 credit. They tried to weasel out of giving credit even though I was polite. I linked the terms and conditions but they all said they could not give credit as Prime Student was not eligible, fighting this point went nowhere. I knew this was not the case, but got lucky on the 4th CSR in live chat and he promptly added the credit.

TL;DR If CSR says no just open a new live chat and ask nicely for credit. Link the terms and conditions in the first message.

  • Promotional credit only applies to products sold by Amazon.com (look for "sold by Amazon.com" on the product detail page). Products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not qualify for this offer, even if "fulfilled by Amazon.com" or "Prime Eligible".

  • I contacted Customer Service with the link and asked for the $20 credit and they delivered. "This $20 promotional credit will show up on your next order fulfilled by Amazon. So it may still work if you ask nicely.

  • Confused: The wand itself is listed as $20 now ... how was anyone getting it for less than that? Is it up-priced or am I missing something? Yes I'm a prime member. Thanks! ... Alley

  • I followed all the instructions but didn't get the $20 credit. I chatted with Amazon and was told the credit was "not attached to my account." They then added it manually.

  • I see in the T&C they added you need to place an order

Offer only applies when you make a purchase in any of the following ways:
Add an item to your cart with Dash Wand and checkout on Amazon.com
Make a voice purchase with Dash Wand (e.g. “buy paper towels")

  • Is this deal inactive again? Was just about to purchase one before seeing comments that the credit may not be working. I'd ask Amazon CS but don't want to tip them off if this wasn't supposed to be working again in the first place. I noticed the infographic on the item page no longer says "Essentially free..."
