Our Verdict

Mazda has a similar offer, but that is only for healthcare workers. I suspect this deal is going to be insanely popular due to how many people are eligible so I’d recommend getting a time booked in ASAP.

  • Update: am hopeful. I sent a second follow-up email (first one and original email went unresponded) and received the following response:

Thank you for your inquiry. If you are responding to the essential worker offer, this campaign has ended and the offer expired on 6/30/20. We are working diligently to add points to member accounts and apologize for any delays.

All other inquiries -- we will reply soon.

    • I just checked as I need an oil change. I never received the code via email. I emailed back and no answer. I tried to call: 30 minutes on the line, no one to speak and then the line was close....

    • Not a response. Getting kinda worried, too. I'm close to needing to change my oil and have some warranty work that needs done, so I was hoping to get it all done at once while lowering the cost of the full synthetic change by the 11k points. I've re-sent the with no response as well. Guess what will be will be.

  • Had a terrible experience trying to redeem this today. First the front-line tech said "We charge $39.99 no mattter who you are." Then the manager came and told me I didn't qualify as "essential," even though my occupation is on the list.

  • Many cars require full synthetic oil as opposed to the synthetic blend Ford is offering. I also wonder whether Ford makes Motorcraft oil filters for non-Ford cars.

    • Now you got me thinking. I just got this done for my 05 Toyota Corolla over the weekend. I normally use conventional oil. Do you think it's bad that I am using their blend from this oil change?

  • Emailed Hoping to get one for the future.
    Got the below email response:

Thank you for contacting the FordPass Rewards Center. We are currently experiencing a high volume of requests.

If you are an Essential Worker, first, thank you! We are working diligently to process your Points for The Works service package, courtesy of FordPass Rewards. We will email you when they are available (within two weeks). If you would like The Works service sooner than that, please reach out to a participating Ford dealer.

For all other inquiries, we will respond as quickly as possible.

    Thank you.

    • Did you have receive the second email with points available on the account? I did not....

    • Interesting. I never got a response of any kind and I emailed just a couple hours after getting the email.

  • Websites says that civilians who support the military are included. However active military is not included.

    • Doesn't explicitly say civilians included and active military excluded, but sure reads that way. I wonder why.

  • Just curious, they say dispatchers in transportation. What about aviation dispatchers? Dispatchers were named along with drivers.

      • I had an appointment scheduled and the Ford dealer called me to say it's only for Fords. I'm going to try the email route for the "later" approach. Please report any successes with non-Ford vehicles.
