  • I got Pixel 3 pretty much for free during the GC deals. Originally, I wanted to sell it on ebay but decided to keep it. It's a pretty sweet phone after all with a great camera.

  • people say google fi is great for international travel.
    1. why is that?
    2. can't I just buy a google fi sim and insert it into my iPhone xs max?

    thanks!

    • I travel overseas several times a year and I just LOVE it that there is ZERO hassle to use my phone anywhere. No need to plan ahead what carrier to use in the specific country, where to get a local sim card, nothing. Just land, turn on the phone and voila, welcome! Worth every penny! I'm honestly surprised not that many people use Fi.

    • 1) cheap data in roaming (same 10$/Gb as in the US)
      2) you can, but network switching is only available on phones designed for Fi (Pixel and some Moto)

    • 1) Works seamlessly everywhere: the same rates as in the US for data and calls no more than $0.2/min, much cheaper in Europe.
      2) I think you can now, not sure about iPhones and Fi should work with any android phone.

  • got the pixel 3 on google birthday for 399. I would suggest people wait a month or so for the pixel 4 to release and make the pixel 3 price drop .Also FYI the phone has a huge glitch where the speakerphone cuts out for the first 30 seconds of the call. Wife and I both have same issue, which makes me think its likely software related.

Check on reddit it is an unsolved issue. I RMA'd my phone and still have the issue as have dozens others.

  • These are pretty much just the prices that Google regularly discounts these phones. This deal isn't really remarkable. Don't pay full price for a Pixel.
