Our Verdict
We’ve seen HEB offer this kind of deal many times before. In the past, buying a variable-load card, e.g. a $500 card, worked for some, but not for others; this time the ad shows a picture of the variable load $500 card, so it should work. Yet others are told they can’t use a credit card at all, only debit.
Even buying $50 Visa card could make sense on its own since the $10 covers more than the activation fee, plus you get a grocery multiplier. Use a card that earns a bonus at the grocery.

Deal is back again until 2/9.
DP: Kinda feel stupid but I tried doing this deal last time and I have no idea how to redeem the $10 free gift card. Is it supposed to apply during checkout or do you go to customer service to get the gift card? I saw something pop up when I scanned the coupon through the app but I still have no idea.

DP: HEB buy two Panera, Olive Garden etc gift card and get $10 HEB gift card. Maximize by buying two $15 Panera cards (10 back on 30 purchase) which I think is a really good deal!

minimum available gift card is $15, at least in my local store, so you need minimum $30 spend to get $10 of HEB

What's the liquidation path for VGC sold at this chain? I have a local HEB, but have never tried MS using those. Have a 4k minimum to meet soon.
