Original post: Hilton has announced that members with Diamond elite status and Lifetime Diamond status will be able to gift status for one year to a friend or family member (Diamond can gift Gold status and Lifetime Diamond can gift Diamond). Starts next week through January 31, 2021. Normally this benefit is reserved for Diamond members that stay 100+ nights in a year, if you also meet this requirement you’ll be able to gift status twice.

I was able to gift Gold with my Diamond status
Recommendation: ask for US rep if one needs a rep with more comprehensive training. Usually more informed, better experience.
I e-mailed the "priority letter" a couple weeks ago and again a couple days ago and apparently it's not much of a priority. Haven't heard a word
I have a Diamond status thru a credit card. I haven't received any emails about gifting the Gold status. I've just called the Hilton Honors customer service about this special status gifting and they knew nothing about it. They were only aware of the standard perk where you have to stay 30 nights in order to gift the Gold status.
I have Diamond through the Aspire card and was able to gift Gold. They're probably sending this out in batches.
Same, they said if I stay 30 nights in 2021 or stayed 60 nights in 2020 I would be eligible.
