Hilton Honors has increased the maximum award rate to 150,000 points. Currently this pricing only applies to Waldorf Astoria Maldives. Previously this was pricing at 120,000 points per night (some nights still pricing at this rate). Hilton justifies the price increase by saying:
We’re pleased to offer Hilton Honors members standard redemption rates at the Waldorf Astoria Maldives. The resort is uniquely set up with an all-villa offering with a private pool in each villa and, priced at a premium rate, is also one of the most highly sought after properties in our global portfolio appealing to Hilton Honors members.
The resort has seen steady traction in occupancy and offers rates of well over $1,000 per night for standard rooms, even amidst a challenging period for the global travel industry and this has resulted in a higher price cap for the resort. In addition, across our luxury properties which have a number of specialty room types, the number of rooms classified as “standard” varies across each hotel. We are pleased to share that members will still be able to enjoy the 5th Night Free benefit as well as redeem free weekend night certificates, providing our members greater value at this award-winning resort in an iconic destination.

Deng, I booked 5 nights off of 95k points a night last year in September and they blew up.
I'm highly considering going now.... just booked it just because hoping pandemic would be over. Getting close...

When is the best time to visit this place? what's offpeak time for this place?
Whats a single guy supposed to do in maldives for a week?
jerk off in style
Once all high-end properties are 150k and all other properties follow and adjust accordingly, we should be seeing 300k-500k points sign up bonus for their credit cards with a $10k-$25k spend requirement
Inflation is stealth devaluation.
Moral of the story - Churn & burn!
Conrad Maldives was 42.5k/night back in 2013. To be fair, if they’re offering 150k as a credit card bonus, getting $1k worth is on par with other deals. The problem is cobbling together the additional hundreds of thousands extra needed for a single stay.
Stayed 5 nights usin’ free “weekend” nights and some pointies when they reopened last fall. Extra 30 per night woulda been a pain.
I hope you got the airplane transfer comped. There was a thread on FT about it. I redeemed 8 certs and had a blast there.
What is FT?

How got it comped? That $1000+ airfare has always held me back
Pretty sure that was a Covid special that was surely limited time.
