Hilton has made changes to it’s Best Price Guarantee program. The updates are as follows:
- If you find a lower qualified price for the same accommodation and terms at any point before your reservation is made, or up to 24 hours after making your reservation through one of the official Hilton booking channels, you can submit your claim by filling out the online form or calling our Hilton Reservations & Customer Care center directly. If we can verify your claim, we’ll honor the lower price AND take an additional 25% off the room rate for each night of your stay.
- Claims previously required completion of an online form and the inclusion of an existing Hilton reservation number to process. We’re now encouraging guests who have yet to book their stay to contact Hilton Reservations & Customer Care directly and submit their claim over the phone.
- We are also now accepting same-day claims. Until recently, we would only match a lower rate for day-of arrival. Now, in addition to matching the rate, we will also apply the 25% discount. For same-day reservations, guests must contact Hilton Reservations & Customer Care directly and submit their claim over the phone.

Price match is flat out fraudulent claim, misleading, and at best misrepresentation.
Gold member 20 years, telling you they won’t honor it. I meticulously and methodically tested this policy and they never honor it, they have a million loopholes and when they run out they will deny it saying it is “opaque”.
There should be a class action against them. Everyone who they denied a claim to should make reservations and repeatedly cancel everytime they find a Lower rate and do it OVER AND OVER till their hotels have no clue how many rooms they will left unsold!
Have to agree that their practice is simply fraudulent - booked with them and tried to price match to lower rate on Agoda. After submission got a reply that I booked "Smoking Room" on Hilton web while Agoda offered "Non-Smoking" which was flat out lie. After 3 days back and forth with them over the email and sending screenshots of the room details of my reservation clearly showing Non-Smoking option, they came back saying that they "apologize for misinformation" and that they no longer can find lower rate on Agoda thus will no approve my claim - no wonder rate changed after 3 days. It is really maddening how they keep promoting it just to use dishonest techniques to deny it. Definitely a class action suit in the making.
I've found that TravelZoo Sales trigger this.
Now if only I can get Chase Booking Service to match these rates...
Sounds like a good revision. A faster communication by calling is exactly what BRG needs.
