Our Verdict
Not a huge bonus and it does require a direct deposit. Still worth doing for some people. You can view all the checking bonuses we do recommend here.

If you use Matt K's link and then click on "open online," under "before you apply" it says "Thank you for choosing Old Second National Bank. We welcome all residents of the United States to apply." So not sure if this is IL only. There are no dps in the comments about out of state. Anybody know?

@guest_770935 Did you link your Cap1 to your Old Second account first? I only have a Cap1 360 Savings account but need to link the account first. Thnx
Yes, linked via trial deposits and ACH pushed out of C1.
thank you!
I can confirm this is once per lifetime, or at least once per longer than 2 years. I took advantage of this offer somewhere around August 2017, and closed the account as soon as the bonus posted. I applied over this past weekend, and got called this afternoon to ask for information needed to open the account. In any case, over the course of the call I was told that even though this was a new account I will not be eligible for the bonus because I am not a new customer. May want to add that to the post.
closed mine 25mos ago, ill bite the bullet and report back with DP and see if this bad boy is really lifetime.
Well any DP now after 6 months?
I'm on a current $200 promo from them, eligible every 2 or 3yrs, it's in the fine print, promo is still ongoing
Check the fine print on the $200 offer page linked up top. Cannot have had an open account in the past 12 months and cannot have received a bonus in the past 24 months.
Two $250 employer DD's on 4/30 and 5/15, $100 bonus looks to have posted 5/15 but I didn't notice until Thursday, 5/16.
