[Expired] [IL only] Andigo Credit Union $500 Checking Bonus

Deal has ended, view more bank account bonuses by clicking here.

Update 4/5/20: Extended until 6/30/2020

Update 1/4/20: Deal is back with promo code GET500 and valid until 3/31/2020. Hat tip to reader Brandon T

Update 10/19/19: Deal is back and valid until December 31st, 2019. In addition apparently if you use promo code  JOYNPLUS you get an additional $50 when you meet the direct deposit requirement. I don’t see a landing page for that offer so it might make sense to just use the CHECK500 code.

Avoiding Fees

Monthly Fees

Their checking account has no monthly fees to worry about.

Early Account Termination Fee

According to the fee schedule there is no early account termination fee.

Our Verdict

Fantastic bonus, previous best was for a total of $400 and that required a CD as well. This is an extra $100, although it does have a debit card spend requirement. Still think it’s definitely worth doing if you’re eligible (sadly you’re not if you’ve had an account within the past 12 months). This will be added to our list of the best checking account bonuses.

  • Andigo customer here. Received my Consumers Credit Union debit card today, and a 40-page full-size transition guide booklet this weekend...

Has anybody found any gotchas into allowing the conversion of your Andigo account? Any good reasons to keep the account? @guest_1238763

    • Didn’t see your post until today. Better late than never. I’m going to keep my account for the 2% APY.

I think they manually review all mobile deposits and will only process them on weekdays. That sucks.

I think you will have to meet the rewards checking requirements again for September for Consumers even if you met them in September for Andigo.

  • Since Andigo is officially transitioning to Consumers next month, does Consumers like to eat up mobile deposit MO?

  • Just Curious anyone receive the 1099-INT? My account is closed and I dont have a way to check online. I know its slightly early to ask. Also sometimes when Debit Cards Purchases are part of the Bonus they dont report. Looking for DP's.

    • Received an email that i have an eDoc awaiting, but i can no longer login, anyone else with a closed account receive this? Or received a paper 1099 in the mail? @guest_985216 @guest_786094

      • I logged in... and yes, it appears they issue a 1099 for each account individually (I have several CD's). I did get one for my $500.

However, I am not the best DP because my bonus was posted manually. Looks like they posted them as "Interest Adjustment-Deposit", but I have a $25 referral bonus posted as Descriptive Deposit Member Referral Bonus that was not included on the 1099.

        • Yeah you can still login. I close the account and they turned off the portal access for me. But I still get emails. So I HOPE they send a paper copy. I know some places will not send a paper copy if you have an open account but if it’s closed they will.

          • @guest_878584 Just got off the phone with them. He told me that if the account was closed, they would send a paper copy. Those haven't gone out yet. He did give me my amount just in case. I would say wait until the first week of February and if you don't get it, call and they'll give you the amount so you can at least have that.

  • @will Datapoint for the $250 DD bonus - Alliant, PenFed and Schwab did NOT work for either P1 or P2. For good measure I waited over a month beyond the expected payout date and they replied wanting a pay stub with matching deposits. Maybe I was just unlucky, but it appears only real DD will trigger Andigo. We did get the $250 for debit card spending.

  • I just found out that pulling money on Andigo side fulfills their direct deposit requirement for their premium rate for high yield checking.

  • For anyone that still has the High-Yield Checking account, unfortunately the rate has declined from 3% to 2.09%.

    • Receiving notice of rate decreases seems to be the standard, but I don't think I ever received anything from Andigo. Shame.

    • Noticed the same today. I'll probably stop meeting the requirements the rewards checking account. 3% on 10k was right on the edge of worth it anyway.

  • I was going to keep the acct, but I will probably close it. I tried waiting on them to post my dd bonus. Rep is claiming that I need to wait 60 days, til end of this month bc they need more time bc of the pandemic. That's bs. He's submitting a ticket, so hopefully, it'll post soon.
