Avoiding Fees

Monthly Fees

They offer a free checking account with no monthly fees to worry about.

Early Account Termination Fee

Bonus is forfeit if closed within six months of account opening

Our Verdict

A lot of requirements for such a small bonus, especially when you need to open in branch. Even if it’s a soft pull this is probably not worth doing so we won’t add it to our best bank bonus page.

  • What's with the weird credit union names today, Credit Human and Streator Onized? I googled onized and found a NJ CU called Bridgeton Onized. The common factor is that both were originally restricted to Owens-Illinois employees. Maybe a back-formation from uni-onized? Or maybe Owens sounds sort of like Onized?

  • Membership is open to anyone residing or working in LaSalle, Livingston, Marshall, Grundy, Putnam, Woodford, McLean, Bureau, Stark, Peoria, Tazewell, Ford, Iroquois, Kankakee, Will, and Kendall Counties (including all relatives).
