Guess who’s back, back again? American Express incognito mode offers. Reposting this post as they are available again (via /r/churning).
It’s possible to get increased sign up bonuses on many American Express cards again, these are often referred to incognito mode offers (as it’s possible to get them to show up by using incognito mode. If that doesn’t work, try one of these methods instead).
- AmEx EveryDay Preferred 30,000 Membership Rewards Offer. Great deal, especially when you take into account the awesome bonus categories. I suspect this bonus might go higher in the future, but hard to deal as it’s already a pretty great deal.
- AmEx EveryDay 15,000/25,000 Membership Rewards Offer. Fantastic offer if you can get the 25,000 to show.
- Blue Cash Everyday $450 Offer ($250+ 10% Back At Restaurants): Fantastic if you can max out the restaurant spend.
- Blue Cash Preferred $450 Offer ($250+ 10% Back At Restaurants). Good offer, especially if you can max out the grocery store and restaurant spend.
- American Express Green Charge Card 25,000 Membership Rewards Points Offer. Not the best offer, but this card doesn’t usually come with a sign up bonus, now that AmEx cards are once per lifetime this is a decent option for those that are running out of cards.
- American Express Gold Charge: 25,000 Points Offer. Same as green above.
- American Express Premier Rewards Gold 50,000 Point Offer. There have been offers for 75,000 points in the past, so probably worth holding out.
- Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card 35,000 Miles Offer. Waste of time, almost always possible to get 50,000 miles.
- Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card Extra MQM Offer. Also a waste of time, always possible to get 50,000 miles and the extra MQM.
- American Express Platinum 75,000 Membership Rewards Points ($5,000 spend). Has gone up to 150,000/100,000 in the past, since it’s one per lifetime I’d wait. You also might be able to get 100,000/$5,000 by following the steps outlined here.
- Starwood’s Preferred Guest 30,000 Points. We recently saw a 35,000 bonus and that was post Marriott/SPG merger so I’d wait for that.

Quick question. Just a month ago, my Blue Cash Everyday had an Amex Offer to upgrade to a Blue Cash Preferred, and I received $150 on $1000 of spend (no inquiry, same acct #). Does that count as my once per lifetime bonus, or can I still sign up for the Blue Cash Preferred for the bonus?
When you apply through the incognito window is it a hard pull? I'm currently an amex member and right now when I apply through the site it's no pull for both denials and approvals (I've had both).
Cant get the EDP 30k to come up.
Also looking PRIMARILY for a good AMEX Business Platinum offer. Got the 100k/$10,000, but would prefer the 75k/$5000 or better. Any tips/advice is greatly appreciated.
Any data points on whether the Amex Platinum $200 incidental fee can still be applied to airline gift card purchases?
@Bill Amex never ever matches signup bonuses, it's not worth the hours of heartache of even trying. But they will occasionally give you goodwill points if you ask nicely
@Kay Yes the Everyday card earns MR points which can be transferred to many programs, just like most AmEx cards
Pulled up the 50k PRG and 25k Green. Applied both with my Hilton Surpass 100k + Free Night from my wife's referral link additional 15k bonus.
Approved for all 3 =)
Thanks!
Nice haul!
Hey Doc,
Is the Amex Everyday card with no annual the one that transfer MR points to FF programs?
Thanks!
Yes, that card can transfer to loyalty programs. All Amex MR earning cards can apart from blue from business if my memory serves correctly.
There is one MR earning card that does not transfer to loyalty programs, Optima, but seeing that is a dead product for AMEX I'm sure there are not too many of those in the wild. I definitely do not have one. :)
The Zync Card from Amex is another product that lacked MR transferabilty. The app link was shut down in early 2013.
Shoot, just applied and got the BCE 2 weeks ago with the $100 sign up offer. Has anyone ever had any luck getting your sign up bonus adjusted to the better one?
Hello, I just read over the 25 things to know about Amex cards.... I saw that there was a limit of 4 cards that you can have at one time. I have the Simply Cash Plus, BCE, Old Blue Cash, and BCP (Authorized User). I was looking to get the Everyday Preferred with the 300k bonus, and the Green Card with the 250K bonus. I searched around and couldn't find an answer... Do "Authorized User" cards count towards that "4 cards at one time" limit? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
AU does not count against you. And the 4 card limit is for credit cards; charge cards do not count against that ceiling. And finally, YMMV, but if you have a longer relationship with Amex you can get 5 credit cards (for some, like me it was automatic approval, but for others, they have reported success escalating recon for a 5th credit card
Awesome! I appreciate the quick response. I just applied for the Old Blue Cash this past Saturday 4/22. Was instantly approved. So I guess I have to wait 5 days before applying for another card. Was going to put applications in for the Green, Everyday preferred, and Possibly the Gold Charge. Am I being a little over ambitious? I'm not set on the Gold Charge yet, but the Everyday and Green do interest me
You should consider combining a charge card (or 2) application on the same day (but after) you do your next Amex credit card app (assuming the MSR is ok for you). So if you go for EDP, consider signing up for the Green and/or Gold charge cards on the same day.
Amex will not approve more than one credit app in same day, but they will approve charge cards and these inquiries should get combined.
