- American Express is offering increased sign up bonuses on three of the Hilton credit cards. The offers are as follows:
- Hilton Honors no fee card: Get 70,000 Hilton Honors points plus a free night award after $1,000 spend in 3 months.
- Hilton Honors Surpass with $95 annual fee: Get 130,000 Hilton Honors points plus a free night award after $2,000 spend in 3 months.
- Hilton Honors Business with $95 annual fee: Get 130,000 Hilton Honors points plus a free night award after $2,000 spend in 3 months.
Our Verdict
These deals are also showing up via referrals (please do not share your referrals in the comments). Previously the best deals have been 150k points on the no fee card, 200k for the surpass and 180k for the business card or similar deals but with a cash component. It’s important to note that the free night certificates can be used any day of the weekend, they aren’t restricted weekend night certificates. How useful these deals are will depend on what type of properties you like to stay at but for most people this will be better than we have seen before. We will add these to our best credit card bonuses.
As always I don’t recommend signing up for these cards unless you have a use of the points/free night certificates in the short to medium term as bonuses are always trending up (as the value of points trends down with devaluations).

Where do I find referrals to this? Think the FNC is superior to the $130 statement credit offer.
I'm seeing that the weekend night is only granted after 15,000 spend, not 2,000 spend, is that correct? Also, if I had this bonus over 24 months ago, will Hilton allow me to get the bonus again?

To clarify, my bonus was on a Hilton Business Amex...I would just be looking to do the consumer Hilton Surpass this time around - will Hilton allow this?
you can have all 4 Amex Hilton bonus

i thought amex refunds the annual fee automatically if you cancel after one year?
How are you guys getting MR referral bonuses. I’m just seeing 20k Hilton point referral bonuses.
Friend got a mailer for 80k+fnc for the basic hilton
Signed up for the 150K offer on the Surpass a month ago but haven't met the spending, how is Amex is switching offers? Really think this new one is better.
1. how fast Is FN issued and is it valid 1 yr?
2. if I have 5 aMEX card already, should I close 1 card first or apply first (contact them to cancel 1 card once approval or shown pending)

1. AmEx is pretty slow.. I receive the Aspire FN about 1 months after the statement with the annual fee. (But Hilton reps might see it sooner.)
2. You need to close one card if all of them are credit cards (Green, Gold, Platinum are *not* credit cards, others are)

Actually, a really good deal if you have a player two and can max out your 55,000 AMEX points through signups. Could get you a nice little stay in Maui at the Waldorf if you do 4 cards. Use the 4 nights free at the waldorf. You'd each have 200,000k Hilton points, not enough to do a night stay there, but if you Island hop you can do Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach for 50k a night. And with 55k amex points, you could get your flight. And still have 200k hilton points left over. Good deal.
Except the WA in Maui sucks...quit reading points blogs talking about how great it is...

Depends on what location you plan to redeem your FNC. The high-end properties tend to be booked the furthest out, but if you find something that works, I would strongly suggest the 70K + FNC. The points alone don't get you nearly as far as they used to unless you can line up enough cheap nights for the 5th free night. Even that's increasingly difficult to justify, points and/or cash.
