The Offer
- Refer a friend to the Chase INK Preferred card and get 20,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards points
The Fine Print
- Max 100,000 bonus points (5 referrals)
Our Verdict
This offer is being sent out via email and can also be found at chasereferafriend.com. A few interesting points:
- The bonus is awesome! Typically, the UR referral bonus is 5k or 10k UR.
- The annual max is also up from the typical 50k on other UR cards to 100k on INK cards.
- All INK cardholders are getting this referral offer, even those who have a different INK version like the INK Plus or INK Bold or INK Cash.
- While INK Cash is still available for signup, you can’t refer someone for the INK Cash as Cash cardholders are seeing the INK Preferred referral as well. Some Cash cardholders are not able to refer at all while others can refer for INK Preferred.
It’s possible to get 100k INK Preferred bonus by going in branch and finding a BRM who has the 100k offer (and using this route will even bypass 5/24 if done via paper application), but for most people who are applying online for the 80k bonus, the referral offer is the same as the non-referral.
It’s difficult for most of us to get the INK Preferred card due to 5/24.
Please don’t refer in the comments here, head over to the dedicated referral thread instead.

Can someone refer themselves for a different Business?
I have an Ink+ for Business #1 and I want to get an Ink Preferred for Business #2. Can I use one of my referrals for myself to get 20k referral +80k? (if it matters, both are REAL business with EINs and Business #2 has had an existing chase SW credit card for the last 3+yrs.)
I know the other option is to go in to a branch and open the card that way to just get 100k but I am trying to open at least one more card the same day and feel like if i do one in branch and one online i might end up with 2
How can I generate the INK business preferred referral link? I am able to send it to emails, but can't find how to generate in order to post. Thanks in advance!
Send e-mail to yourself, get link and post.
Quick question, will you be able to refer your SO for a different sole prop but with the same address?
I'd think that would be fine
Thanks for replying Chuck, do you know if both of us will receive the signup offer then?
I'm having same issue, cannot generate any links because the page doesn't work right. The Visit our FAQ page leads to a blank page, and now I can't even log in as its saying the Temporary ID Code they emailed me is wrong (it isn't). I wonder if they are having IT problems
How long does it usually take for the referral bonus to show up after the card is approved for the person I referred?
based on a recent reddit comment it sounds like in a week or two it will at least show as Pending.
Jack, even i am facing the same issue with no link being generated after filling out the referral information.
I just got my CIP and I've activated and even had a test charge for it. However when I go to the referral site, it's failing to generate anything. Email, twitter, fb buttons all do nothing. It works fine for other chase cards I have though. Also after I enter the information for the card on the main page and press continue, the left side of the new page is empty, whereas for other cards it would list the bonus/offer that the applicant would get. Any ideas why? Do I just have to use the CIP for a while before I can generate referrals?
I was able to refer to Ink Preferred without issue last week to three different people. This week I'm seeing the same behavior you are. I wonder if their systems have just gotten weird.
I only have an Ink Plus.
I'm having the exact same problem. I've had my CIP for a week.
I have an Ink Cash and no referral link.
But here's an idea for your awesome share-a-link posts:
- ask that each referral link be in a top-level comment
- encourage people who use commenters' referral links to reply to comment
- subsequent would-be referral users can count the number of replies and determine which link to NOT click on
It won't be a perfect system for sure, but it can be a modest step toward maximizing the community's benefits
That's a very good idea.
We have 2 Ink Plus and 2 Ink Preferred cards between me and my spouse. All 4 cards got an email for referral bonuses, and I was able to produce the links on all 4 of them. So, for people who have only old Plus or Cash cards it is probably possible to refer themselves and get extra 20K, turning total bonus into 100K.
Good luck.
i guess the guy on reddit has spread misinformation about ink cash being able to generate referrals, not a single positive DP here
