Our Verdict

You can view the other Ambassador status benefits here. Personally I don’t think Ambassador status is worth it even with this bonus, but if you’re already paying for it and find it useful then this is definitely a nice freebie.

  • Those who have spire elite status can keep it alive by signing up or renewing ambassador status, without the required stay requirements.

    • do you mean that ambassador will keep spire elite for next year if I sign up for this year , when next year I will receive a 25k bonus point as a spire elite member, so actually it only cost 15k for me to sign up for ambassordor this year, what a sweet spot

  • Reserved an Ambassador reward night for a Friday / Saturday stay in Chicago for July - it was full price for night one, night two free. Also, according to the agent, the 40K renewal night certificate will be there only for those who pay the $200 - not for the points renewal.

    • Didn't get a trigger email when I did it online. Guessing if you did it at an Intercontinental, it might

  • Do you think I can combine it with the offer of staying 2 nights at any IHG hotel and getting 1 night free?

  • IHG is going down the way things stand. They can’t afford to pay rent on like 125 of their US based hotels at least and are about to lose them.

  • IHG is cash poor. They’re at risk of losing like 100 affiliated hotels in the US due to non payment.

  • IHG crashing and burning...
