Currently there seems to be some sort of issue with Citi Easy Deals selling out immediately. For those that don’t know Citi Simplicity, Diamond Preferred cardholders get access to Citi Easy Deals where they have a discounted gift card each day. The popular/good deals have always sold out quickly but lately they sell out immediately and I haven’t heard of anybody actually being able to purchase them (some are still having success). It’s unclear why this is happening but hopefully it’s fixed soon (source: 1,2)

I didnt login yesteday (2/1/25), but a few mins before 1 pm today (2/2), i see the 4 merchant gift card deal had ended, and there was no upcoming deal to the right of it on the web page. After refreshing my screen, it didnt change until 1:00:15 (usually it's exactly at 1:00:00), and the left side now displays a Jersey Mike's deal as Coming Up...
and that status hasnt changed now in over 20 minutes. So something is messed up. (unless no Sunday Deal, and the Jersey Mikes Coming Up... is for Monday). Beats me!
(oh, as for my track record for january, I've only snagged 2 deals this month, on 1/9 & 1/17... experiencing the immediate "sold out" syndrome on my computer).
Nobody in their offices on the weekend so my guess is somebody messed up and there was no Daily Deal at all today and Jersey Mike's is the deal for tomorrow (Monday). You can just feel the program is coming to an end. If that happens I will wait a couple of weeks to make sure and then cancel the card as it becomes totally useless to me at that point. Again good while it lasted.
The Citi EZ Deals Programmer Insider and Citi EZ Deals Operational Manager Insider got fired after business day Friday. They are currently under investigation by the CFPB, SEC, DOJ and FBI. The Citi EZ Deals program is currently in a defunct state as you can see this weekend. New Guy will be in Monday morning, but I was told the administrator password was changed, so it might take some time to see change if any at all.
Interesting. So the Deal of the Day/Daily Deal is NOT showing any preview for tomorrow. Might just be a glitch in the system, I think I remember this happening once or twice in the long history of the deal but who knows maybe they are completely shutting down the program. I got the deal for today but only 14 out of the 31 offered in January.
We had almost 2 1/2 years of nothing but gift cards (started 1/1/2022) so I guess we should be thankful but like others have written here if indeed the program is COMPLETELY going away no sense holding onto the card.
On my end, I also see no preview of tomorrow's deal. Just checked again at 2pm ET via the app on iOS. I also checked my emails for any comms, and tried to dig into their FAQ on My Deals, to see if they announced anything about the program ending permanently. Haven't found anything.
I also just tried to act like I was applying for a new Citi Simplicity card, by googling it and going to Citi's official credit card site; and there is no mention of "My Deals" program when I CTRL+F on that page...
Post on Citi FB might get Citi's attention? We may never get back to the old good days. At least you won't hear those caching, browser, everything is normal kind of BS.
First Citi stops ThankYou Points, now Easy Deals Daily Deals are going away. I called Card Services and got the same lip service that everyone else heard. Keep complaining to Citicorp. In the mean time, STOP using you Citi credit cards. Use ones from other banks. Citi makes 2% back from vendors when you use their card. Other banks have much better perks!
I want to add to this conversation...this is a sad situation. Like everyone else here, I really enjoyed the My Deals perk up until around Jan 1 2025. Selling out in a millisecond now, all of them. I'm disappointed. This should be removed from their card offerings if deals continue to sell out before we can even refresh our screens.
I've stayed with Citi Card for years now and a small reason was the MY CITI DEALS and now MY DEALS but with the inability to get a gift card here or there has made me rethink my use of Citi Card and to look for another card with similiar fee structures and a better 'loyalty' gimmick then MY DEALS... Prior to 2025 I was getting at least 2 gift cards a week; especially liking the $50 for $40 cards.
I'll keep trying for another week or so but after that, it will be Hasta la vista, baby
I was able to speak to the customer support today and they have confirmed that the amount of gift cards has decreased from Jan 1st as there was change in the program. I think that is one of the reason we are not able to get any deals since JAN 1st 2025.
I called them a couple of weeks ago and they acted like it was a caching issue. I told them I had cleared the cache, tried on multiple computers and tried private browsing with it always sold out as soon as live. The rep admitted to me they had received a bunch of calls about it
Post a feedback complaint on the website. Maybe they'll do something, maybe not, but at least someone besides the My Deals crew will hear what's going on. It's the only perk for my card, so there's no reason to stay with Citi.
I am having all of the same problems plus a new one. I can't even find where the daily deals are not on their site or app. It's like they removed it. Anyone else having this problem? If not, please tell me where to find it.
And then My Deals shows up about an inch down from where Rewards & Offers is. This is on a desktop. On Android App I select the right Citi card, scroll down to Explore Products & Offers and then My Deals is third option from left up top.
But yeah. Worthless right now. Even crappy deals sell out instantly.
