Our Verdict
500 miles isn’t much, but keep in mind that you can transfer Chase UR, American Express MR, Citi ThankYou Points & SPG points to Singapore Airlines so it might be worth signing up for. You can view more ways to get free loyalty points by clicking here. Keep in mind Singapore miles have a hard expiry of three years after they are earned (earning/transferring miles doesn’t extend the miles) so might make sense to open account on last day of promo (hat tip to reader Juanbeny)

I tried to sign up but their form has a drop down to select the home city and does not include my city. Now what do I do?
No points after registration using the promo either
Wait until tomorrow. It posted for me a day late.
I signed up for a KrisFlyer account using the promo code, but I don't see it. Is there a certain waiting period before the 500 points show up, or do I need to contact customer service? Thanks!
Not sure sorry, already have an account :(
They posted the 500 points to my account, a day late. I guess there is some delay. Just thought you'd like to know to share with readers. Didn't have to contact customer service.
Singapore Airlines miles expire in 3 years so I will do it on the last day.
Thanks, added this to post.
Are they extended by any activity like a points transfer or expire like Flexperks on a hard date?
On a hard date which is 3 years from the date points posted.
Thanks!
If I have an account but never used it, and have a 0 balance, can I close it and reopen a new one?
Not sure, give it a try
