Our Verdict
Very similar to the deal last September. Overall it should become profitable even without getting any benefit from the items themselves, albeit with the hassle of dealing with submitting the rebates. You only need to send in one envelope with all the UPC’s and one rebate form, and you’ll get a single Visa gift card as a rebate – these things make it easier to deal with.
Some people love these deals, others hate them. I would consider doing it if I needed the products, but I’ll pass on reselling. They could be nice gift items for the holidays too, if you don’t need them for personal use.
Readers note that sometimes Kohl’s errors and doesn’t process all the rebates. Worth snapping a picture of the UPC’s as a backup.

For posterity: how to easily look up remaining balance
http://www.prepaidrewardscenter.com
The back of my giftcard read http://www.kohlsrebates.com/prepaid for balance info, but that is a dead link. I called the 1-888-976-8087 number on the back of the card and they directed me to the prepaidrewardscenter URL. It will ask you for your first six digits, then press "enter," even though it still looks grayed out, it is good to go. Then I entered my full gift card number, three digit code, and expiration. Shows balance and activity
I had a poor hotel experience and they refunded me the stay. The stay had been booked to my gift card. It appropriately re-posted the balance to my card. Yay! :)
Just received my rebate in the mail today. Purchased 40 products and received my $560 Visa GC. Wahoo!
$518 (correct amount) rebate:
Date received: 5/15
Your rebate is valid and is scheduled for final processing.
Will post back when I get it!
Last time i fall for the Kohls rebate scam. Sent in 22 rebates (same envelope) for $308 and only received a $70 rebate visa. They shorted me $238 and the phone number for the rebates help is a telephone tree from hell, with no humans. I tried calling kohls directly and they sent me back to telephone tree. I did take pics of all my ups and form bec i had read that a few people had similar experience. Any chance that they might be sending multiple rebate cards? Anyone know how to get help with their error?
finally got help thru a PM on twitter. they took care of it quickly and in an hour i had an email with confirmation of another gift card being sent...
Wow, that was fast! Received my $98 rebate today for the 7 items I bought. It hasn't even been a full month, I'm shocked!
My rebate is showing valid on the tracking site now and the amount of $490 is correct. Purchased 35 items total. I was pretty thorough placing each set of 5 UPCs on an index card and then writing what product they belonged to. Now just to wait for the card.
Figured Id jump on and try out a smaller size order. Did 13 products to cross $200 price point. Did pick up in store to grab extra Kohl's cash since it's across the street from me. Well 4 products weren't in my store so they had to be delivered anyway. 1 product wasnt in stock so they cancelled it. 2 items I did receive appear to have been rummaged through and repacked. In the future I will only accept delivery. What a hassle for $5.
Update on my Ebates cashback:
Ebates replied this morning that my order was approved and they have corrected the cashback to reflect the 6% of $564.xx instead of $33. I paid only with credit card however.
If you don't feel like trying to buy a discounted Kohls Gift card you could use MPX to get United miles. It is currently 3x for Kohls.
My yes2you shows $5 per hundred when will this double?
