Avoiding Fees

Preferred checking has a $10 monthly fee, this is waived with a $2,000 balance.
Early Account Termination Fee
There is no EATF according to the fee schedule.
Our Verdict
Better option than a $350 toaster for most people. Always nice to see a bonus without a direct deposit requirement.

Anyone receive a 1099 for this bonus?
This bank has a $2.55 fee for ACH transfers out, so pull the funds from another bank to avoid that fee.
their debit card voids all atm fees
Denied in-branch for using OOS address.
My $300 bonus finally posted yesterday. Account was opened in February
What does complete DD forms mean? It doesn't require a DD.
I opened and funded 2500 with venture x. I called cap 1 to lower my cash advance limit to as low as possible but apparently they don’t do that :)
Coded as cash advance (although there IS a warning on the website that it may and I took a chance anyway).

$100 Checking "3/25/24 FINANCIAL FITNESS INCENTIVE PAYOUT"
$200 Savings "3/25/24 FINANCIAL FITNESS INCENTIVE PAYOUT"
I originally signed up for the $200 checking offer but after seeing a comment below I then opened the savings account. Was able to do $2500 credit card funding for the savings account using my Bank of America card which coded as a purchase. Sent a secure message requesting to have the promotion updated to the $300 offer and they granted the request.
Recently, I tried opening the $300 business checking offer on their website by entering my email address but they've never followed up with me. Seems that they don't allow opening the account online like the personal checking/savings accounts. I'll probably just pass on it at this point unless they follow up and allow me to open over the phone.
When did you open your account?
Opened early February. Bonuses posted a few days after day 45.
Hi Lefty, What did you use for the direct deposit requirement? Did the bonus automatically post or did you call in to inquiry?
I used a real DD because it's easy for me to change my accounts each pay period. I had to send a secure message after day 45 because it didn't post by then and that was the stated timeframe.
Day 45 and no bonus
Bonus posted today.
I checked it just now and it posted
I will attempt to withdraw most of the money from a nearby ATM
@guest_1792066 what DD method did you use Dirk?
Real. Easy bonus
Anyone actually get their bonus(es) yet? Seems like forever since I opened the accounts
Terms say 45 days after opening
45 days and no bonus
No bonus here either

Chatted with rep online and they said give it another week
Weird, I did the same and they said they were contacting a branch and would get back to me
They said that also
Never mind. Found my answer.
