Our Verdict
Not the greatest deal, especially after the $5.95 (?) activation fee. We’ve seen similar deals before. Maybe someone will come up with another deal to stack with this.

Post history:
- Update 12/3/22: This is actually the standard offer where you get a $15 Lowe’s eGiftcard. Redemption page is just wrong and lists $10 according to GC Galore.

Does Lowes discontinue this promotion for good?
UPDATE. for those having trouble with the Pathward cards. i was just able to redeem two of them I purchased on 4/22. Appears Lowes updated their system. Hooray
Redemption site is down. The receipt says it needs to be claimed by 5/3/23, but I’m pretty sure the site and sign both actually said 5/10/23, which would line up with past promos of having 2 weeks.
Hope they get it fixed, because I didn’t finish submitting my cards.
Also for those complaining that the $7.95 cards aren't eligible even though the SKU matches, you'll probably need to threaten to file an arbitration claim if CS won't play nice. You can probably get more than $15 out of that though.
Can the Metabank PP Visa cards be used on Paypal for Paypal Billpay ( to pay utilities, etc)?
How about using them to directly pay your utilities?
For those struggling with the Pathward cards with a $7.95 fee, I had an extensive email conversation with the support people at the lowesgiftcardbonus.com website, and they basically said the UPC (07675051326) for these cards is not eligible for the rebate. I asked if they could escalate back to Lowes to make it eligible, and they said no. They suggested I call the number on the back of the card or contact the store.
I even showed them the picture of the in store advertisement and how it matches the "item number" on my receipt, and they referred back to the UPC, which is I guess what really matters.
Not sure what else we can do.
They finally fixed the problem with the 7.95 cards. Probably updated the database to include the newer cards. It’s working this morning.
For all of the fake outrage that happens on this site (and sadly many others), I'm surprised this issue isn't getting more attention.
Yeah I've started an email chain with the Support team too but I don't have high expectations for that. How can we get this escalated? I can't believe Lowe's is going to get away with not honoring their own promotion? Again trying not to overreact but it does seem fraudulent, no??!!
working now. lowes appears to have updated their system. try again
did u call the number on the back of the card? what did they say?
I did but it's like an automated system it seems. I don't think it will help anyway.
Bought and successfully redeemed 4x $200 Metabank Visa cards using 2 email addresses. 5% on Chase Freedom was nice too.
Were they labeled $20-$200. Or fixed $200?
Just trying to make sure i get the right ones. Some have reported 20-200 arent working
I bought variable cards 20 to 200 and worked. Make sure its metabank and not pathway
bought $200 metabank vgc in NC. not valid to claim.
Did you enter the numbers on the right side above the barcode? I did it 4 times today Metabank $200 and all worked.
I bought 8 of the grocery everywhere cards with $5.95 fee. 4 transactions at self checkout. Got each $15 GC to the 4 emails no issue
Can those grocery everywhere cards be used in other generic stores?
yes they are just normal visa gift cards, same as the $7.95 ones. the branding of these and their companion ones (fuel everywhere, restaurants everywhere, style everywhere, etc) are a complete gimmick. it is an odd thing. i guess the idea is they're to appeal to people who want to give a "vaguely personalized" gift as better than a normal visa?
I'm planning to purchase multiple $200 Visa gift cards (and use different email addresses)? Do they have to be rung up separately or okay to do 2 or 3 $200 visa cards in one transaction?
For the promo, you can do multiple. However, at my stores, if it goes above 400 for the load, not including the activation fee, it requires a manager to approve it. I've had to wait 5 or 10 minutes to get approval. So, I never go over $400 per transaction. One store will even run a credit check on the card if I go even to $400.
If yours has self checkout best to do multiple $400 transactions. If you have to use a cashier do it all at once and wait 15 min for a manager
So self checkout doesn't require a cashier to come approve the purchase?
The checkout machines don't care if it's under $400, but a lot of stores don't allow it. They make you go to customer service.
no as long as it is under $500. i think the older gen of self checkouts (which were only available in some stores) didn't allow gift cards at all, but the new ones they installed recently in my (most?) stores basically function the same as a normal register (you can also use your coupons there for those hitting up lowes to buy real stuff while you are there)
2 things if you're coming across this post:
1. Pathward cards with a $7.95 fee appear to not be working with the promotion yet (as of 4/21). Gives an error when trying to redeem. The $6.95 Metabank $200 variables seem to work fine.
2. In store, the sign says "Get a $15 Lowe's eGift Card when you buy a $200 Visa Gift Card". Not sure where the $150 in the post title came from, but signage seems to imply it's for $200, not $150, so I'd stick with $200 to be safe.
Another confirmation of above. My store had both $7.95 and $6.95 fee cards. I bought two $200 VGCs w/ $6.95 fee on Thursday, not being aware of the issues with the $7.95 cards, and successfully claimed two $15 Lowe's eGCs.
On each receipt the item # for the $6.95 Metabank cards is 887940, which matches one of the item #s listed on the promo sign.

Sadly you are correct, just tried to redeem two $150 cards and received message "The card value does not meet the threshold for this promotion." They didn't have any signs in the store and I'm not very happy about wasting money on gift card fees for nothing.
