Lyft has launched a new ride pass called ‘Smart Savings Plan’, some users are being targeted for this pilot program that offers 10% off all rides when you pay a $14.99 monthly fee. This means you need to spend $150+ per month to end up ahead. This isn’t Lyft’s first test of a ride pass, previously they have offered a pass costing $299 that provides 30 rides a month for up to $15 per ride and more recently they have offered $5 off per ride for $9.99 (10 rides max). This latest offering is probably the worst value proposition out of the three, so probably the most likely to actually be rolled out to all users.
Update: Some people are seeing the same thing, but for a 25% discount. That makes it much more attractive

Lyft has already been giving me 10% off rides for free, heh. Uber still ends up being cheaper though...
Honestly I think this is only worth it if you travel a lot for work and you can get your company to pay for the pass, which would allow you to also get discounts on personal rides.
They need to get that credit card up and running.
Yeah, this new pass is a joke...they wont even offer me the prior ones that had value you mention above. If your average ride is $10-$15 its pointless yet they are pushing it hard. Uber has something similar now too and they both suck. Wish the would offer the $199 and $299 plans again.
I live in Chicago and was offered 25% off unlimited rides for $15 a month. I've been renewing this plan for several months now. One big negative is it can't be combined with any other Lyft credits such as the $10 World Elite MC credit.
Have seen this for months and unless you spend minimum $150 a month, this is a dud.
Can’t imagine many people making this worth it
