Avoiding Fees

Note that military and veterans might get a monthly fee waiver. (I can’t tell if all accounts get the waiver or only some.) There is also a $15 early account termination fee if the account is closed within 90 days.

Complete Business Checking

This has a monthly fee of $21.95 that is waived if you have an average monthly balance of $7,500 or more.

Our Verdict

Not as good as previous offers as it’s more difficult to keep the complete business checking account opening (previously it required a value checking account). That being said it’s not clear if that bonus will ever come back or not so it might be worth doing for some readers. Unsure if I will add this to the best business checking bonuses because of that previous better offer. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

  • Did this last year and banker not only screwed up and put the incorrect promo code, but in the CFPB resolution letter, the bank mentioned I should have been a resident of their target footprint and just working in the target footprint (eligible states) should not have qualified. They gave bonus anyeay as a 'goodwill gesture' after the complaint. YMMV.. make sure you follow the promo terms and that the banker puts the correct promo code when opening. :)

  • $7500 to avoid the fees with the payout not guaranteed until December. Even if I just went with the minimum of $500 to open, 5 months later that bonus is down to less than $200. Bummer since this is actually local for me.
