Our Verdict

Sign up bonus of $250 isn’t bad as far as cash sign up bonuses are concerned. The 3x categories are ok, but it is possible to earn at higher rates on dining, travel and Amazon purchases with other cards. Still given that this card has no annual fee those categories could still be useful for people who don’t have cards that earn 3%+ in those categories. Anything that earns at 2x on lower can always just be put on a card that earns at a high rate on all purchases. Overall this card is worth considering if you highly value cash sign up bonuses and have already made use of the better offers available.

I have very fond memories of this bank as they offerred the best deal ever some years ago. A 4% one year CD PLUS a 2% upfront bonus on the deposit amount. I used $200k from credit card BTs (no fee) and made $4k in one day. There was a line out the door at the local branch. The good old days.

  • Please DO NOT do anything with this Credit Union.
They will make HSBC feel like a piece of cake!
They are highly incompetent and takes months to answer SM with an answer like " we are sorry for the delay in responding and hope that your issue was resolved".
They have been holding my money for over 17 years (a secured credit card which they no longer issue) and refuses to send it to me unless I visit them in person. Needless to say I am in a different state now and it doesn't make any sense to visit them.
    You have been warned !
