Update 1/30/19: This lounge has now reopened and is open for business.
The American Express Centurion lounge in Miami will be temporarily closed for a short period in January (expected to be approximately two weeks). The following explanation is listed on the official website:
The Centurion Lounge at Miami International Airport will be temporarily closed for a short period in January as we work to upgrade and expand the space. Please visit one of our partner lounges including Delta Sky Club® when flying Delta, or a Priority Pass™ Select lounge once enrolled.
Exact closure dates and duration will be shared closer to the date, according to a statement provided to VFTW.

I can confirm it is now open again. Currently there now.
Thanks
Fake news. Just tried it. No go.
It was closed when you went? Any pics?
Wife said elevator was roped off and had a sign.
Interesting.
Same, went at 6:30 PM last night and elevator was roped off with sign saying to try Delta or Priority Pass lounges instead.
So I'm what you'd call a road warrior and play the usual games (those that would be familiar to doctorofcredit readers) to get my Platinum card at little to no cost. So I think the card is great. But I assume most of the people crowding the lounges are not like me, and are using the card infrequently and paying for membership. If so, this doesn't make much sense to me. The Platinum card has little value to me other than as a lounge access card. If you didn't need that on a regular basis, why would you pay?
Badly needed. They have been limiting visits to no earlier than 3 hours before departure.
Seattle was limiting to 2 hrs before departure when I stopped by in October
Hopefully this one won't be like the DFW "temporary" closure that just became permanent.
