The Fine Print
- $300 cash bonus available for new and existing Altra members who open a new A+ Platinum or A+ Checking account in person or online between July 22 – July 26, 2024; Offer void if any Altra checking account or Altra membership has been closed within the last 6 months.
- To receive offer, initial minimum ten (10) Altra debit card transactions must be posted within thirty (30) days of account opening.
- ATM transactions do not qualify; Only debit card transactions processed by merchants and received by Altra as Point of Sale (POS) transactions count towards qualifying debit card transactions.

Logged into my account today to transfer out my balance and noticed a charge of $190 to Walmart that I definitely didn't do. Have no idea how this has happened, the fraud department seemed pretty helpful. Might want to check your accounts asap, hopefully it was just me.
I had the SAME thing happen. A charge of about $185 from Walmart.com. They refunded it, but still.
Sorry to hear this, mine was refunded pending a further investigation. I want to close the account, probably will have to wait until the investigation has concluded.

Apologies Eric am only seeing this now, it's silly of me to leave the money in the account. As you say 0 % interest, I 100% need to be more vigilant.

Yes, it's a lot more than I typically keep in a 0% account.
But this isn't a 0% account!
Maybe it's gone down a little but as of 11/30/24 it was still paying .064%.
Finally messaged today about the bonus as I did my debits a lot later than others (did my last debit on day 29) because my initial card got lost. They said it would post on Friday (tomorrow). I guess nobody gets paid without contacting them eh?
They said the same thing to me. Nothing yet. I contacted them again and the rep kept insisting it was going to be $250 but that it would post by the end of the day. So we'll see.
I followed up sometime last week and my bonus did post sometime before 3 PM EST last Friday, like the rep told me it would.
Got mine today but more around 5pm EST.
Yep, checked in the morning on Friday and nothing but checked just now on Saturday morning and it's there as promised.
Like other below, I had to nudge them via SM and included screenshots/timestamps of my account opening details. Bonus posted today with the memo "Deposit Promo Exception".
Easy to close. Sent a secure message and account was closed within minutes.
Did you close both the checking and saving account both? Did you 0 balance both account first?

I did not receive the bonus today. Reached out (for the first time) via chat and was told the bonus would be paid out next Friday.
I was told 3 days ago that my bonus will be posted this friday if I meet the requirement, and I didn't see the bonus post, is either I didn't meet the requirement or they are lieing to me. Anyone else has the same issue. I have send a follow up request to see what is going on This will has to be one of the worst bank to get the bonus
This was the case for me too. It almost looks like if you want your bonus you need to take the initiative and reach out.
I think it's their method of slowly thinning the herd, and verifying the customer is still alive too. LoL
Watching others getting paid is an exercise in patience, and I gave in this week.
