Our Verdict

Highest bonus on this card was previously $250, and this offer adds $50 and Walmart+ membership. Bear in mind, it’s possible for the Walmart+ component to even be a moneymaker if you’re able to stack with another deal, such as this $50 targeted Walmart Cash offer.

It’s not necessarily worth using this card after you get the sign up bonus as there are other credit cards that offer a higher rate on everyday purchases, but the sign up bonus might be attractive to some people. NFCU is also offering a bonus of 40,000 points and Amazon Prime membership on the Flagship rewards card.

Navy Federal is only available for military and veterans – full eligibility information can be found here (plus family members. Even if they are deceased). Learn more about Navy Federal credit cards in the post Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) Credit Cards: List, Best Cards & Things You Must Know.

  • Don’t understand how you can get both NFCU Walmart $98 statement credit AND the Amex offer refund. For AMEX offer you have to use AMEX card for $98 charge and for NFCU statement credit you have to charge the $98 on the NFCU card.

  • Received an email from Navy Federal today stating the card now earns 2% cb on all purchases!

    • Got a snail mail flyer on the 2% cash back today... I missed the email on July 11th. @2 @6

Flyer & email does say it is non-transferable and is targeted.

    • Received the same email stating 1.5% base cash back and 0.5% bonus.

Wonder if the total would be 2.25% cash back with direct deposit?

    • I got the email too. Does anyone know if using the Navy Cash Rewards Visa works for funding new accounts as a purchase v. cash advance?

  • Under disclosures, section 2 it says:
Offer valid for accounts applied for between 07/01/2024 and 10/09/2024.

    • As of 7 PM on 6/04/24, the disclosure now says "Offer valid for accounts applied for between 05/01/2024 and 06/30/2024".

  • There were talks about making this a 2% card at one point. I don't know if that fell through or maybe would conflict with the Flagship card too much.

    • I thought the main feature of Walmart+ is not having to go to the store.

      • You'd think it would be if they didn't have so many restrictions on deliveries.

    • Last I used Instacart the markup on everything was crazy high. Walmart Plus the prices were the same as in store.
