Navy Federal (NFCU) $200 Bonus For Auto Loan Refinance

Update 5/27/22: Deal is back

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Get a $200 bonus when refinancing your auto loan with Navy Federal Credit Union. Minimum $5,000 loan required.

The Fine Print

  • Existing Navy Federal loans are not eligible for this offer.
  • Refinanced loan must be at least $5,000 to be eligible for the $200.
  • You must make your first scheduled payment in order to receive this offer.
  • $200 will be credited to the primary applicant’s savings account between 61 and 65 days of the loan origination date.
  • If the auto refinance loan is canceled or paid off in the first 60 days, the $200 offer will become invalid.
  • Offer may end at any time.
  • Recipient is solely responsible for any personal tax liability arising out of this incentive.

Our Verdict

Obviously make sure you’re getting the best rate, but if you’re looking at refinancing your car, this can be an added incentive to use PenFed. I think some people find their rates to be very good.

Offer is slightly less than the $250 Penfed refinance deal, but this one has a lower $5,000 requirement and some said the rates there are better, so makes sense if you are eligible for NFCU membership (military family).

  • I found this not as easy as it seems. They require you to do all the legwork by filing the lien yourself which costs you time and a nice chunk of your bonus.

  • Great rates compared to USAA. I already have my loan through NFCU (2.39%), and did the $200 bonus refinancing a different car a few years back. No issues.

  • Anyone know if they will let you "refinance" a paid off vehicle? Also open to changing ownership to an individual/business entity if possible.

  • I am so happy and thankful for NFCU! They have been a blessing with helping me achieve financial goals and great services! Love this financial institution!!!

      • Apparently the only people who care about NFCU are the paid advertisers? I've been banking with them for 20+ years. Not an advertisement, but out of the 100+ deposit account banks I used, can't find much that stands out for the others over NFCU. Use the interest rates at others for random things like savings at Elements/Evansville Teachers, but whatever,.. do as you want. No institution is perfect.

        • I wrote that in jest. Hard to convey that on a computer sometimes. It just read like an advertisement. I have absolutely zero issues with NFCU. I have been a member for well over a decade myself. Even refinanced our previous house with them.

  • Refinancing through NFCU is quick and easy. When I bought my new Mazda, there was a $300 cashback if I went with Mazda financing. I did that and refinanced to NFCU two weeks after I got my car and also got the $200 NFCU refinancing bonus.

      • Really surprised you have stooped to bitching about such a low interest post. Guess times are tough? Hope you are well, @guest_1386382! 1-800-GET-HELP
