Our Verdict

Seems like a good bonus if you live near a branch. As you need to open in branch you should be able to check if it’s a hard or soft pull before opening.

  • According to the rep, this is only available in the norfolk branches, so highly region specific. Also, they said it was neither a soft nor hard pull, but they ran some sort of check with local banks (chexsystem?). 2 choices of checking, free and interest bearing, and while the interest rate is definitely competitive, the reqs are not worth it, and their "system" I'm convinced is run by a single Apple 2e in somebody's garage. It's a shitshow and this one isnt worth keeping imo. I should have asked about c.c funding, but just did a 100 cash deposit

    • Update finally got paid out, there was a 90 days-after requirements are met verbiage in the tncs. Nobody at the bank seems to know what's going on most of the time it seems. Down to a crappy 50$/50$ referral bonus for now. Hopefully churnable later. Thanks Doc!

      • Hi! Did they pull a hard pull or not? I might go for it if I can open it @ Lincoln branch.
