New American Eagle Coin Deal This Thursday (7/29), $5,000 in Spend & $200+ Profit

There is a new U.S. Mint four coin set going on sale on Thursday, July 29th – at 12:00PM ET. The price will be $4,962.50 or $5,050.00. (exact price will be set on Wednesday). There is a limit of one set per household and because of this some coin resellers/collectors are offering over the list price.

These coin deals became popular in our little community by one coin buyer, but there are now multiple buyers out there that people are comfortable with. We don’t make any recommendations to remain unbiased, but I do recommend locking in a price before the coins go on sale so you don’t carry any risk and going with somebody reputable as the $5,000 price tag is extremely high. You should be able to get a profit of $200+ locked in at minimum. You can see what credit cards code as a cash advance and the best cards to use here.

  • Anyone still stuck with these? Seems my One-Half Ounce Coin has lost value. Ebay looks still good but looking at Pinehurst suggest the prices are going down on these.
Any suggestions where to sell it, at least with no big loss? Or just wait? TIA

  • Is anyone still buying the 5k 4 coin set? Finally got mine from the mint but i called Minsull a week or so ago and they weren't looking to buy anymore.

  • Finally got my coins today! Yay! Post office put them in my apartment mailbox and there is NO way I can get it out before Monday without ripping the packaging because the box is too large for the opening! Boo!

I guess I will sit next to the mailbox Monday afternoon until the mail person arrives and ask them to take it out the same way that they put it in.

  • Pinehurst took 60 out of the payout (received a check) even though I used my own UPS label and not their prepaid FedEx ones. Anyone else have this happen and if so what was your resolution?

  • Interesting.

I had the 4 coin, and a 4coin set. All except the 1/2 coin was shipped, and the 1/2 coin was delayed (backorder) and I though cancelled because my credit card charge for it was dropped. It was all in one single purchase order. So I had to go and asked Pinehurst to cancelled that specific coin from being sold to them. Well, 2 weeks later after I got the check, that coin was shipped to me and I was charged for it.

Now, I'll need to see if anyone is buying that 1/2 ounces coin.

  • Got my check from Minshull today, about a week after they got the package. Thanks to all for sharing and tips.

  • So I had some extra vacation to burn so i took a half day off and drove to pinehurst to deliver my coins .. It was a nice drive on a sunny day and its a small town but they have a really awesome golf course .. Process was very professional.. They opened the Mint boxes checked the content and certs and issued me check same time.. Another reason I wanted to drive was to see the coin and hold it and in the gold it was truly magical and heavy

  • Thinking of buying High relief gold coin about $2700 Aug 19. Should I? And what is expected commission, any guess?

    • I was wrong - there was interest even in this coin. I guess the collector market is really overheated now.

    • My guess is zero commission. Not all household limited coins end up being worth buying. Ie, the coast guard medal from today.
