  • This deal is not very hot because you have to stay with Xfinity for 24 months. I usually just go for 12 months with promo price, terminate account, repeat.

But probably ok deal for someone who is already overpaying for their internet service...

  • Chat with an X agent:

JESSICA I got an offer in my Rewards account today for a free camera. I am wondering if I would have to pay for it upfront. There is something in the term about being receiving a credit each month to pay for it.

Agent (03:11 am): If you received an offer for a free camera in your Xfinity Rewards account, you would not have to pay for it upfront. According to the information provided, if the physical reward being redeemed is an Xfinity product like a camera, a shipping confirmation email will be sent to you. Once the product has shipped, you will receive a tracking ID and a link to the carrier website. It is important to note that rewards cannot be exchanged or returned.

JESSICA (03:12 am): I wonder why there would be a credit each month in my account then. Do you know?

Agent (03:13 am): yes see when you get something as such, its labelled as free but what happens is that we(Xfinity) pay for the product in the form of credit so you are not charged anything

JESSICA (03:13 am): So there will be a $#.## charge and a $#.## credit each month for ## months?

    Agent (03:14 am): yes exactly

Agent (03:14 am): so you do not have to pay anything for it

JESSICA (03:14 am): Will I be enrolled in any service for it?

Agent (03:15 am): for security cameras right ?

JESSICA (03:15 am): Yes or anything else.

Agent (03:15 am): yes you will be enrolled in Home security but be assured will not be charged

JESSICA (03:15 am): So the Home Security is free too, forever?

Agent (03:16 am): No like just the cameras part will be free and if you add any sensors or anything else then you will be charged

  • Indoor cameras are on sale for $10-20 very often, so that's the real value of this deal - all to get you into a 24-month credit? No thanks.

  • I am an existing customer (not a new one), while this reward was available for me as well and I clicked on it. I hope that they credit whatever they mentioned. In the upcoming month, I will check my bill and if the fee would not be credited, I see whether there would be anyway to cancel this order.

  • I clicked it and I don't have new internet, but it looks like it's a 12 month credit.

Nice! We're getting your Xfinity Indoor Camera ready to ship. You’ll see a credit for $2.50 per month on your monthly Xfinity bill for the next 24 months.

      • yeah, sucks, but they're the only service provider in the area. So for this one location, i'm stuck with Comcast forever anyways, 'till death do us apart.

          • Tmobile home internet is available, but Comcast is more reliable, especially when someone works from home. The 5g is not always 100% reliable, I think it's throttled during busier times.
