Our Verdict
Great account as there are no requirements to earn this 3% APY rate. One of the best high yield savings accounts, but obviously very limited due to age and geography. Apple Bank also offers a $100 checking bonus.

Looks like the rate is now 5%. I was considering withdrawing since 3% is no longer competitive so I'm glad they are keeping up
Does anyone know if you have to apply in person? This is a great deal and we live in NY. But the closest branch is over 100 miles away. My son turns 6 in September and this is just what we are looking for.
Pretty fun for the kids; teach them good savings habits. Lots of branches in NYC, too.
