Simple checking account has no monthly fees to worry about

Early Account Termination Fee

I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so I’m unsure if there is any early account termination fee or not

Our Verdict

Still need to know if this is a hard or soft pull to open. As always if you decide to sign up for this account and bonus please share your experiences and datapoints in the comments below.

  • Approved in branch after being denied online 2x and getting turned away from one branch due to no available appointments.

@2 It sounds like they manually review for DD qualifications as the representative said that she would put a note on her calendar to check in a month to see if the bonus requirements had been met, so I plan on using a real DD for this one.

  • This CU has the following warning in their online application
Please explain how you qualify for membership … if you do not qualify for membership your opening deposit may be forfeited

  • Just spoke with rep, it’s only Cincinnati area. Wouldn’t open for me in Cleveland @will

    • It's website shows locations in the Dayton (Ohio) area and membership is limited to seven counties in that metro area. Two of the counties are also considered part of the Cincinnati region but Cincinnati itself and surrounding Hamilton county is not included in the stated field of membership.

  • Update: Talked to a customer service rep...she said it would be a hard pull. She also stated that you cannot fund the account with a credit card to start.
