I hate deals that are only for the first xxx people. Deal is a bit too complicated for me so I’ll give this one a miss.

  • OMG...so I ended up getting this $50! I tried again later in the day after the original fiasco, sure that I wouldn't get it but I did. Woo, thanks DoC!

  • I got notice that I got 50 USDC for completion of this promo. Nothing for the POKT promo

  • I already had a cex.io account set up, which uses Stellar, so I just bought and transferred the USDC using that. With their minimum amount using instant buy ($50 USDC), the fees were about $2.66, not considering whatever I'll gain/lose selling it

And if anyone's still considering this deal, I got an email today begging me last-call to do their promo, so there's probably still spots left

  • Anyone getting a bunch of spam tokens being sent to their wallet now? I received a bunch of VISA, MC, and DONG lmao

  • Steps to achieve Promo

    1. Create Lobstr Wallet. My promo if you choose to use [removed]
    2. Use either Coinbase or OkCoin to buy $35 worth of Stellar XLM
    3. Send that XLM to the Lobstr Wallet
    4. Enter public key. If the service that you are using to send transactions requires you to specify a memo when sending funds to your LOBSTR wallet, you can safely enter "Lobstr" there.
5, Swap the $33 worth of XLM which is about ~150 XLM to USDC
    6. Withdraw your USDC to OkCoin via the XLM network

  • How are you sending any money to Lobstr? OkCoin requires an XLM memo. There is no memo to on Lobstr. I can only see my wallet's public key.

    • @guest_1331597 is correct. Private wallets do not require a memo, because the entire wallet belongs to you. I just put the number 1 in the memo for OKCoin

    • @guest_1331586, please confirm. I believe Lobstr's Stellar address is unique, so there is no need for a memo. For places like OkCoin, the address is for all the Okcoin accounts, but the memo gets it to your specific account. This part confused me too, which is why I went the Moonpay route.

  • I got some stellar. But it’s currently at -70%. 🥲

That’s not that bad though. I think it was over -90% last month. 😑

  • Gave up, I guess I transferred too many of my assets to USDC on the lobstr wallet? Kept saying I didn't have enough to complete the send over to OKCoin and then when I tried to convert back to XLM it wouldn't complete that transaction either, said I don't have enough XLM...ugh. I guess converting only $31 like Davis said below is key
Moonpay wouldn't accept any of my CC's or DB cards for payment, couldn't do it in house there

    • I got burned with a FTF on my Presidential debit card with Moonpay in the past so I've learned to use my Varo debit card since that doesn't have an FTFs. I would try a few more debit cards. The deal is complicated so I doubt others have figured it out already. Seems like a pretty sure $20-$30 profit.

      • @davis I don't really keep extra funds in my other accounts (bad churner, bad) and since I was late to the party, probably was not one of 1st 1000. HOWEVER found your twitter/referrral via this whole situation, will be checking that out and setting my own up. This is worth a lot to me, probably gonna be more than $50 USDC in the long run yaknowmean?✌️@guest_1331597

  • Bought the XLM on Lobstr via Moonpay since that was quicker than ACH’ing funds and then figuring out how to transfer XLM to Lobstr. I recommend buying $40 of XLM. There is a referral for Lobstr for 1000 Aqua (~$3.30) that will partially offset the fee with buying the XLM on Moonpay. Note that Moonpay is headquartered in Dublin so there will be foreign transaction fees. Then convert $31 of XLM to USDC. Use the leftover XLM to facilitate the transfer. Once you get the 1000 Aqua in a week or so, sell it to XLM and then have them transfer your XLM to another account to sell that.

    • Ehhh... AQUA is an untracked Crypto project on coinmarketcap. The project is a micro-cap project according to Coingecko. Also illiquid. Not really worth the hassle for 1000 AQUA.
