Paceline Credit Card Coming Back

Update 11/6/23: The Paceline card is coming back, currently it’s on waitlist. “We’re relaunching our wellness cashback credit card with enhanced benefits and richer rewards. Staying healthy is getting even more rewarding.” (ht to reader CreditGuy)

Update 2/22/23: Paceline has now updated the F.A.Q and stats the apple watch reimbursements will be paid out in full.

If you were actively enrolled in the Qualifying Fitness Device (Apple Watch) Purchase Reimbursement program prior to today, this is the final week that you will receive a weekly statement credit to your Paceline Card for hitting your Streak. By March 31, you will receive a statement credit for the full remaining balance (up to $429) of your Apple Watch. This credit will be issued to the balance of your Paceline Card or, upon the closure of your account, issued directly via check in conjunction with any credit balance refunds.

Original post: Paceline has sent out an e-mail to cardholders that effective February 23, 2023 the card will no longer be usable. One of the benefits of the card was statement credits for an Apple Watch Series 7 if you met your activity goal. Unfortunately this benefit will end on 3/31 or when your card is closed, whichever is sooner.

You’d hope they would be forced to honor the statement credits for the Apple Watch series 7 as many wouldn’t have made the purchase if they knew this was going to happen. Worse than just losing out on a regular sign up bonus. I’d recommend filing a complaint with the CFPB in the hopes they are forced to honor this promotion.

  • Took a survey, seems like they want to offer an option of multiple fitness trackers Apple Watch included as part of the sign up bonus, some 5/10 cats depending if work out. And the 1.5/3 as well. Annual fee ofc as well.

    • It was my goto card. I got a free apple watch and plenty of cash back. So fool you? Not me. They were very nice to me. Depends how the new program will work if I will get the card again.

  • Maybe nothing but the image on the website shows a charge to whole foods earning 5% back and a charge to chevron earning 3%. Could be a hint at earning categories.

  • Noticed something about the new card design. The chip of the new card matches the design of how Cardless designs their chips in their marketing material. Wonder if Paceline is going to partner with Cardless to issue this card. I have not seen this chip design anywhere else

All of the cards offered by Cardless have this chip design https://www.cardless.com/cards

    • The wait-list email has a different card entirely with a different chip. Maybe they just stole a clean looking chip from online lol

    • If they actually partnered with careless a lot of people are gonna be ineligible due to their “one card rule”

  • Has anyone else not received their credit balance check yet? Anyone have any contact information I can reach out to?

  • Got a letter early May about them selling cc balance to Plumeria Account Holding LLC (with a gmail customer service contact), even though I paid everything off by early April already. Tried to call in to cancel the card mid-May, was told someone will call me back within 48 hours, but no one did. Called again on 5/26 to request cancellation again, I don't even remember what the response was...

    • Ended up disputing it with TransUnion as it was the only place it was reported. They ended up deleting the item even though I just asked it to be reported accurately as closed.
