[Expired] Pepper: Get 10% Back On Sam’s Club & More (Unlimited)

Update: Amazon is sold out. They now added Sam’s Club until the end of the day for 10% back. They also added Netflix for 15% back.

The Offer

Pepper app is offering the following deals:

  1. Get 10% back on Amazon with no limit
  2. Get 10% back on Sam’s Club with no limit (Sam’s gift cards can be used at Walmart too)
  3. Get 15% back on Netflix with no limit
  4. Get 20% back on Finish Line with no limit
  5. Get 20% back on Petsmart with no limit
  6. Get 23% back on Puma with no limit
  7. Get 18% back on Champ’s with no limit

The standard Pepper points will be instantly available and the bonus Pepper points will be awarded on 9/23/24. You can see these deals in your messages tab or notifications tab, and you should see the bonus reflected on the checkout screen. These deals end today, 9/3/24.

The Pepper points system is confusing, so let’s give an example: If you buy $100 in Amazon gift cards, you’ll get 8,000 points instantly (4x) which is worth $4 toward your next purchase; that’s 4% back. On September 23rd, you’ll get an additional 12,000 points which is worth $6 and is the same as 6% back. Altogether, you’ll end up with 10x back will is the same as 10% back. It’s easier to just avoid thinking about the points totals and focus on the ‘x’ back since that is the same number as the % back you’ll be getting (1x = 1% back; 10x = 10% back).

Our Verdict

Keep in mind that for most of these deals the bonus points won’t be available for a few weeks, and I wouldn’t recommend buying unless you can manage the risk of something going wrong with the bonus points posting a few weeks down the line. I’d recommend screenshotting and copying the gift card info immediately, and I’d also recommend using up the Pepper points quickly, since people have had issues logging in, etc.

Reports are that Amex Business Gold  to earn 4x if it’s one of your top two categories. And reports are that it counts as Online Shopping for BofA cards and Blue Cash card and ShopYourWay card. And it counts as Computer Software category for BofA Customized Cash Rewards cards and for 1.5x on the Business Platinum card.

Note: While there is no limit to most of these deals, you might be limited in overall quantities that can be purchased from Pepper in a day. So you might only get $2,000 or some other number until the app stops you. It’s sometimes possible to increase limits by calling in and verifying. And you might be able to buy again the next day as your limits reset.

My thanks if you enter my signup code 584255 during the initial signup process. Those who signup with a referral code get double Pepper points on all purchases for 15 days. (If you do a bonus offer, you’ll probably get double points on the base and single points on the bonus. E.g. if something typically earns 4x and there is now a 10x offer, you’ll probably get 14x total as the 4x gets doubled to 8x and then you get the bonus 6x on top.) • Signed up last night. Not seeing the same offerings though. Do the boosted offers vary by individual? For instance Champs is only showing 5x points.

  • I've added 5+ cards to pepper, but pepper is saying all of them are transaction denied.. I find it hard to believe I can't get one to work.& no fraud alerts from any of the banks either.
Anyone else with the same issue? Trying to buy sams club before the promo ends

    • Yes, my main cards are all failing. I'm using my SoFi card for 2.2% CB. Better than being in a sock drawer.

  • They just added 10x for Sam's Club. I know Walmart gc's work for Sam's Club, but does Sam's work for WM?? TIA...have a blessed rest of your day!!

  • I purchased $200 to REI on 8/21 (REI was 15% / 15x that day, 5% normally), during my new member promo period. I earned 20k immediately (base 5% CB) , 20k a couple days ago (new member doubling of base rate), and then 40k today ( remaining 10% from 15% promo, was not doubled for new member promo)

    • Great that the base rate still doubles for new members. Thanks for the DP (it’s now the last day of my new member bonus so this is helpful)

  • My inbox is always blank and I only get notifications if a deal has ended. Anyone else experience similar? I've tried making a new account too.

  • Hey, @6 so I know you're looking for DPs in re: whether the double points at signup stack with the bonus offers.

My experience is that the base points doubled for me but not the bonus points. So for instance, I did $1k at Amazon during a 10x bonus (4x base + 6x bonus) and earned 280,000 points ($140). Still a pretty great discount for Amazon, especially if the ABG 4x category works out (my statement hasn't closed yet, so can't verify).

    • Thanks! That was my guess on how it would work in the new Pepper system, but I never had a solid report (cuz everyone reports based on the old Pepper point system)

      • On the flip side I have the opposite data point. Purchased $2k ikea at 10x ikea + double new member. $2k @ 20x should equal $400. Received $380 in bonus. Not sure what happened to the $20 but I definitely got more than the stated 10x.

Sadly I don’t know how many were base vs bonus to get the 10x total. As I write this I’m now realizing that could explain my missing $20 and could be another similar data point to OP.

        • You should have gotten 14% back since the standard 4% back gets doubled for 8% back, and then you get the extra 6% added on top for a total 14% back. That would be $280, not sure why you got $380. How long ago did you sign up for Pepper?
