Plastiq Now Working Again [Some Issues Still Persist]

Update 3/10/19: Plastiq is back up and running. Some readers are still reporting some intermittent issues but should be working for most people.

Update: Plastiq provided the following answer to our query:

Thank you yes we are sorry for the inconvenience we are updating the system we expect it to be up by tomorrow.

Plastiq (bill payment system that allows you to use a debit or credit card) service is currently down and has been for the last 24 hours+. When logging in you receive the following message:

I know some readers are eager to get some last minute Paypal Business debit card transactions before bank funding only is enforced on March 11th. We’ve reached out to Plastiq to see what is causing the issue and a timeline for when service will resume.

  • Logged on to my Plastiq account and saw I have Fee Free Dollars rewards in the same amount as the my payments were for the week (and I made 5 mortgage payments!).

    The description says "Apologies for the inconvenience".

  • I received this email from Plastiq:

    "We are reaching out to inform you that the delivery of the following payment(s) have been delayed due to an interuption in service......"

    Thing is, the payments they referenced were sent last week before the outage and have been received by the recipient.

    • I got the same email that 4 of my payments were impacted due to an interuption in service.

  • As of 9:15 PM PST, I was able to pay bills using Mastercard GCs - no issues whatsoever. Thanks.

  • Lets look at the positive side folks...something like this usually means free FFDs coming our way is my guess....."Sorry if you were affected by our downtime...since we are very customer focused and don't want to you to think badly about our site going down, here is 1500 FFDs to use on your next bill payment". Thank you thank you we will take it..

  • Just got an email from Plastiq that my landlord has deposited my last check for rent ($3200) which I gave on March 5th. This was keeping me worried for last two days, but looks like things are fine hopefully.
