[Now Removed] Priority Pass Adds Restaurant Option To Salt Lake International Airport (SLC)

Not sure on the exact details, but this option is no longer appearing in app. Multiple reports from readers that Priority Pass is no longer being accepted, manager claims it’s because priority pass hasn’t paid them? Fingers crossed this gets resolved shortly.

Priority Pass has added a restaurant option to Salt Lake International Airport (SLC). It’s not currently appearing on the website, but it does appear in app so you members should be able to use it now.  The restaurant is IL Viaggio and it’s located in Terminal 2, Concourse D (international terminal). It’s open from 6:00 until 22:30 daily. Members get a $30 credit for themselves and any guests (guest access depends on the type of priority pass membership you have). I wasn’t able to find a menu unfortunately.

Previously there was no lounge option at SLC, so it’s great to see Priority Pass increase their lounge presence in these types of airports. Priority Pass has been added new restaurant options at a quick pace recently:

  • Love the way bloggers always post this type of thing (new restaurant added to Priority Pass!) but none of them ever follow up to figure out what's going on when their proclamations disappear. Getting to be too many bloggers in this business and none really following up.

  • I dm'd them on Twitter and was told "Unfortunately, we've temporarily suspended access for our members in SLC until further notice. As soon as we resume operations, we'll keep our members updated..." darn! hope it comes back or they link up with someone else at SLC

  • @Doc, maybe worth updating - it seems SLC option is gone (see comments, and also it doesn't appear in the app).
Also - don't know if it was discussed, but it seems that LGA lounge was also removed...

  • If you have a short connection, can you call ahead while you're deplaning or something to place an order and then pick up and pay with PP?

  • Just showed up today for the lounge, they said that priority pass did not pay them back so they have to discontinue until further notice.

      • They only started this a couple of days ago, didn't they?! What does it mean, "didn't pay them back"?! Did they expect like a net-2 or net-5 payment without negotiating one?!

  • I’m at the restaurant now and can confirm that Priority Pass is working. The waitress was well informed. Since my sandwich was under $28 she recommended that I order more which she said I could do as to-go. They are checking for outbound boarding passes.

    • I am glad you had some good luck! I’m at the restaurant now (1.5 hours after you) and they won’t accept it. The manager even came out to speak with me and said they can’t accept it. No idea what the disconnect is, but I believe it is her ignorance. I checked and there is only one Il Viaggio in the SLC airport. Best of luck to future travelers. Hope others have a better time than I did.

  • No PP lounge, but SLC has a Delta Sky Club lounge... One of the main reasons I keep Amex Platinum around.

    • Thanks so much for posting this. I rarely fly Delta and didn’t know I had this benefit with Amex Platinum. Enjoying the lounge now!

    • Yes, they are all connected airside. SLC is also a small airport since it was built 50 years ago. The new SLC is currently under construction.

    • Yes you can walk from all concourses ( with moving sidewalks) to the Intl concourse to get to this restaurant. This is our home airport so thrilled to take advantage.
We use the Timberline Grill in Denver often and it is quality food. Have had PP pay for up to 5 guest meals as well there, with me just paying generous tip.
