The Offer

Direct Link to offer (digital coupons)

  • Save $10 off when you purchase $100 of Visa gift cards.

The Fine Print

  • Expires 7/8/18.
  • One offer per transaction.
  • The Visa gift card is issued by Metabank.

Our Verdict

Should just be an instant $10 off, although in the past you sometimes needed to buy $10 in groceries to get the discount but I don’t think that’s the case this time. Don’t forget to use a card that earns at a high rate on grocery store purchases.

  • Works great and do not need to purchase anything with the gift card. I've gotten my friends and family to sign up and use their accounts to clip the digital coupon so that I could do multiple using their phone numbers. It works for all Metabank VGC (variable load and fixed $200).

Perfect timing for hitting MSR on some new cards.

  • My Publix only had Sunrise brand fixed value $100 VGCs, but there was a single $20-200 Metabank VGC left. I checked the terms and didnt see any exclusions for fixed vs. variable value so I went for it. The cashier said my total was xx.xx amount, without the discount showing, but immediately before I swiped the -$10 showed up and my total reflected it. Success!

      • I bought $100. I would suspect the digital coupon wouldn't go through if the value was <$100

        • Is there any addition fee for buying visa gift card, like typically they charge 3-5 dollars on top of the visa gift card

          • Yes it's something like $4.95-6.95. Considering the activation fee, and the fact that it's limited to a single VGC, this will only earn you a few bucks (<$5). If you can get 3-6% back from CC rewards on top of the discount, this deal becomes more attractive.

I have under $300 left of minimum spend on my SPG Personal, so this was a convenient way to help knock that number lower. Plus, in terms of meeting spend requirements, ~$100-200 charges at a grocery store aren't as likely to draw suspicion as repeated $405 charges at an office supply store or a $505 charge from a gift card website.

    • Yes I noticed the coupon digital disappeared after I used it. This appears to be one-time use without help of family, friends or multiple phone numbers.
