Our Verdict
Often the same deal is available at other BB&B brands as well, not sure if this is the case this time as well or not. Comenity Bank offers a Bed Bath & Beyond card that offers 5% back on purchases at the store, but these promotions are not frequent enough to seriously consider such a card (usually only offered in October, November & December).

Denied again by email again for bs Invalid POS reason. Will call tomorrow and vent.

There are multiple DPs of people being approved after purchasing with Happy cards. Try calling during US business hours so that you get a US-based CSR. You can get to a human by repeatedly entering your rebate tracking number incorrectly. And please don't mention Happy cards, obviously.

Contacted through chat and CSR was able to contact email response team. he validated both my rebates and same is processing now. its bit of pain to get it approved.
Resubmitted on 12/8 after getting denied, got approval email today.
I resubmitted just the receipt via e-mail and received a response a couple days later that I was approved for a $50 BBB gift card. Both of my $200 MCs were purchased on the same receipt, and I stated in my e-mail that I sent to them that I was expecting a $50 BBB GC for the purchase. Their response indicated that the GC would be sent out within 15 business days and then allow another 15 business days to receive it. I'm curious what the status of your rebates are for those who resubmitted. Mine still says "pending", but I would have expected that to change based on the CSRs e-mail response to me.
On my end, the incompetence continues. Received an e-mail this morning that they could not locate a receipt for the second card I purchased, and therefore could only approve one $25 rebate. As I had purchased my cards on the same receipt, I did not know whether to laugh or cry. Sent them another copy; we'll see what happens.

The latest message from CS is that my rebate request for the second card cannot be approved, again. Even though my receipt shows a total of $413.90 and two different $200 cards, CS insists that I only bought one card (twice) and paid $206.95 for the same card (twice) because the first 10 digits of the cards' serial number are the same. The fact that the last few digits are different is, apparently, irrelevant.
Double sigh.
Well, for the time and headaches they put us through, the $10 gc is worth less than a penny. Lol
Yes, I am not sure I will bother next time around. It was so painless last year, I was lulled into a false sense of security. The trouble seems to be that they have, in the meantime, outsourced customer service somewhere abroad. The combination of the language barrier and poor training for CSRs is what seems to be causing all the problems.
Damn, that is ridiculous. I finally got my two separate ones figured out, I hope. Took way too many emails but still not as bad as what you're describing. I hope it works out.
Finally got a CSR on the phone. (The trick is to keep entering an incorrect tracking number until the system gives up and sends you on to a human being.) Supposedly, it's all straightened out now. We'll see. I am steeling myself for another message that the rebate only covered $200 MONSTERCards, or some such.
I also received an approval e-mail. However, mine states that (i) I will receive a Home Depot GC, not a BBB one, and (ii) I was only only approved for $25, even though I bought two $200 MCGCs.
Anyone else have similar issues?
I bought two cards in one purchase and submitted two separate receipts. Got approval for both request today and first one is for $50 bbb and second one says for $25 Home Depot. Hope will get at least $50 and will take extra $25 if they wish to give.
Reply to them in email and they will correct I believe

I submitted two separate ones and got two separate emails. Were yours on the same receipt? Mine says I'll be getting $25 prepaid visa, which would be great but only expecting BBB ones.
You can check your original tracking number. I got a follow up email that said the tracking was updated.

Turned out they screwed mine up, only giving me credit for one as well (they responded to both emails with the same approval for the same tracking number, the second is still invalid) . First time i've done this rebate, might very well be the last time.
Sorry to hear that. Well, the rebate form pretty clearly says you can do two, so we just have to keep sending them e-mails.

My single card got same rejection, chatted and was asked to email the receipt which I did.
Some of you are quite subdued.. did you get paid out last year after this happened?
This did not happen last year because they had a different submission system that required uploading photos of the actual receipt and package. That being said, there is no reason to believe at this point that this is anything other than a computer screw-up on their end. My experience with BBB Rebates is that they are reputable and pay out eventually.
It happened to me last year too even though the images of receipt and package were uploaded. I did two last year (exactly same uploading procedures) but only one got the invalid email. I ended up had to chat to resolve it. At the time they couldn't really explain why i got the invalid email for one of them, just said probably some system glitch.
OK, I stand corrected. Nevertheless, I still think these issues will be resolved with a bit of follow-up. No need to worry just yet.
Purchased two on same receipt. Submitted my rebate online on the 25th. Status still shows pending and I haven't gotten any denial rebate yet. Does it sound like mine will be OK? Seems like the problem from most is if they bought two and submitted separate receipts.
I bought mine together on one receipt and made one submission. Rebate rejected with the same error message as those quoted above. You may want to proactively e-mail a copy of your receipt to bedbathandbeyondrebates@parago.com.
Thank you for your response. I spoke just a tad bit too soon because literally about 15 minutes after I typed the message above, I got the denial e-mail. I'm traveling now, so will have to wait a few days until I can e-mail them the receipt.
I was in the same boat, thinking I skated by but no such luck. Might be helpful to email them a photo of the UPC codes too.
Got same error email of invalid POS, also I submitted the receipts on 11/26 through email as I seen this error message on rebateshq website. Ystd I contacted them and ticket is escalated now . Will keep posted on updates
