Our Verdict
Rakuten cashback can be converted into American Express Membership Rewards points. LifeLock Ultimate Plus Plan is the most expensive plan, this will cost $296.90 and you’d earn $267.21 or 26,721 MR rewards points. This works out to be 1.11¢ per point. New Rakuten members can get another 3,000 points for signing up as well.
Personally this is an easy pass for me, too much room for something to go wrong and I don’t really want to have to deal with that for a very slight profit. Others (especially people that value MR points highly) will find this worth doing.

Looks to be dead. I had the 95% yesterday, but now it is is 10%.
For me it shows 52% off first year membership.
Yesterday there was a 10% rakuten bonus in place hence the appearance of 105% back. It was made up of 95% plus 10%

Just did this deal. Rakuten says the shopping trip tracked. Even at 90% off + 25% from my amex card that should equal a roughly $35.98 moneymaker.
It should be mentioned you can update your payment info online. Go to the upper right-hand corner to My account -> Billing Information and you should be able to change it there. I was able to remove the AMEX card I used to buy the annual subscription and replace it with a virtual card number from Capital one (that I promptly deleted). No needing to worry about cancelling my subscription next year.
Update: Deal tracked successfully and is showing as "pending" in my rakuten account.
Can I do this again if I've done this before?
For cash back purposes, Rakuten considers Lifelock a separate merchant from Norton Security & Antivirus products, so you can get a Rakuten bonus on both Lifelock and Norton Antivirus one time each. Note too that if you have received a bonus on one Norton Antivirus product, you can't get it again on a different Norton Antivirus product. For example, I received a bonus on an Antivirus Plus subscription a couple of years ago, but then was recently denied cash back for a Norton 360 subscription. Rakuten CS confirmed the previous subscription was the reason for the denial.
That said, Norton's got a 60-day refund policy, so there's no risk in trying to get a duplicate purchase to track.

Unintended consequences: requires time spent getting the Norton crap off your machine, and stopping the spam.

Good Luck with canceling it after a year. LOL, you have to talk with an AI for hours to get a Real agent online. since you cant cancel this online.
No you don't. For years now, you have been able to turn off automatic renewal in settings. It'll end in a year. At least in my state, maybe it's not visible in all jurisdictions.
