Rakuten currently has added Walmart for 1% Rakuten in-store cashback when you pay in Walmart stores using a linked card. Be sure to link the offer before using.
Fine Print:
Earn Cash Back when you shop with your linked card at all participating Walmart stores. Offer valid for a limited time and may be removed or modified by Rakuten at any time. Offer not valid for gift card purchases. Purchases are subject to applicable store policies. Debit card purchases must be processed as credit in order to be eligible for Cash Back. When using your debit card, do not enter your PIN. Only US-issued payment cards are eligible to enroll and earn Cash Back. In-Store offers not valid for online purchases and may not be combined with other Rakuten rewards. US stores only. Offer not valid at locations in US territories. Offer may be displayed on multiple websites but is redeemable only once per qualifying transaction. If you link to the same offer on more than one site, your qualifying transaction will only be eligible for rewards or benefits associated with the offer through the most recently linked site. A linked offer is good for 1 hour after initial redemption. After such time the offer must be re-linked prior to your next purchase. A linked offer that has not been redeemed will automatically expire on the date the offer itself ends. Cash Back earned will be paid with your next eligible Rakuten Big Fat Check!

how come I still earned 1% back today? so the loaded offer still works even if the deal was over several days ago?
If you were liked on 31st before it disappeared, yes... On the 30th I still got 6% when I was expecting to get 3%..
And now gone from Rakuten. Great while it lasted.

DP - I tried to use a prepaid card for this deal. I made 2 purchases and received nothing. I used my USAlliance card and received the cash back on 2 out of 3 transactions. I don't know what happened on the the 3rd transaction.
Nice, registered the 6% in store offer to my Venmo Visa +3%. Heading out to get some groceries and a MGC or 3.
Bought (2) $200 MGC's along with $90 in groceries. Rakuten tracked in the 10 mins it took to drive home.
rakuten clawed back cash back for the larger purchase for the cards with which I made two purchases in walmart one day, only keeps the smaller purchase cashback. better make just one purchase per card per day.
cash back showed up yesterday for all the purchases, some cashback for larger purchase each card vanished today.
How large are we talking? I did 4 or 5 in one trip using a couple different cards

$4k and $3k purchase, $4k purchase cash back was clawed back.
I had $60 clawed back but I can't figure out what date it was taken from. But most is still there.
wow, 6% rakuten + 6% amex = 12% which is pretty good
I used a 5% grocery card, but do have the 6% rakuten MR points. So I get a little bit of both.
what is the 6% from amex ? walmart codes as wholesale store and not grocey
Walmart Neighborhood markets code as groceries (US supermarkets)
WM MCC coding varies depending on store designation.
Walmart superstores yes, but Walmart has some smaller locations that are grocery only.
I'm in and can't wait to complain about clawbacks
