  • Also 3% back at Rite Aid.

Our Verdict

Good to see them add top brands, albeit for just a few days. Add your card now if you made a purchase earlier today, maybe it’ll track that way.

  • Did this the last time and had no issues other than once with tracking. I made two purchases today at Walmart. On two different linked Amex cards and no tracking so far (four hours later). Not a big deal as it was stuff I was going to purchase anyway.

    • Just to update this the cashback did post but it was about 14 hours later not instant like prior promotions and I didn't ever get an email like prior promos either. And as an added bonus the transactions posted as 3x not 1x (offer changed today).

    • Stupidly, I made a large purchase right before, and only added the offer on Rakuten afterwards. Charge is still temp and nothing posted yet. Do I have a chance?

      • I spent over $2500 in store at Sam's on 3 Aug before seeing this post and adding my card. Got bonus today, 7 Aug, on top of my Citi Merchant offer

    • Scan and Go codes as online for me so I'd guess there is a good chance they don't count as in-store but have no idea.

  • Got 2.5% on Rite Aid, although it says gift cards excluded, are there DPs that Rakuten can tell from L3 data when purchased in store? My CFF has 5% offer, if 2.5% stacks too, it will make it a 10.5% back on $60 gift card...
