Rank My Ride – Get Paid $5 Per Ridesharing Ride You Review [NYC, Los Angeles & San Francisco Only)

Rank My Ride allows you to earn $5 per ridesharing ride you review (e.g rides from Lyft/Uber). You’re allowed to complete five reviews per month for a maximum of $25 back per month. This can be paid via PayPal, bank transfer or Amazon gift cards. It’s available to people who live in the following cities:

  • New York
  • Los Angeles
  • San Francisco
  • London
  • Madrid

You also need to submit an application to be accepted. Once accepted each ride reviewed needs to contain a number of things:

  • An eReceipt must be provided (this also must show the area of the ride you took and this must be in one of the qualifying cities listed above).
  • You must rank a number of factors (this is done on a one to five star basis)

You also need to complete 15 trips/reviews be quarter otherwise they can remove you from the program. I don’t have any personal experience with Rank My Ride and I couldn’t really work out what their end game actually is (e.g are they pro or anti ride sharing companies or is it pure market research for investment companies?). Seems like a relatively good deal for those in eligible cities but I’d love to hear from readers that use the site. There is a referral program that gives the person referring $5, please do not share your referrals in the comments below.

  • I received an e-mail that this died today. It was very easy. No minimum, just sublit and get $5. I will miss the free pool rides. Hopefull it comes back. --- Rank My Ride is currently putting on hold all rewards to Rankers from today onwards. You do not need to submit any more surveys and e-receipts until further notice.
Any surveys that are submitted from today onwards will not be rewarded.
We will get in touch if and or when rewards will continue.

  • Anyone not receiving the money? I have not received the money 3 days after sending the review and receipt.

    • Same, how many rides have you guys submitted the receipt for? I got it 4 times already, still waiting for the 5th ride.

    • Same here. It's been about 3 days since I submitted my 4th receipt and I haven't received any money yet. I selected the direct deposit option, so I assume that's why. Going to give it another day or two before following up.

  • Joined a few weeks ago. Really happy with Rank my Ride so far! I received payment surprisingly quickly upon sending my uber receipts. Exactly the sort of thing I was looking for - makes uber much more reasonable.

  • Do you need to live in those cities to be eligible, or just take rides in those cities? Many live elsewhere but go there for travel and so this could be useful for more than residents.

    • It's just about taking rides in those cities. I don't live in NYC, but I work there and ride all the time, and my receipts have been accepted.

  • I've been doing this for about two weeks. Painless process for easy reward. Happy to answer any questions from my experiences.

      • Haven't had a limit per day. I submitted two from the same Friday night that I went out, and both were accepted. I submitted them as separate surveys and separate emails for the e-receipts.

Just got my fifth survey, so I'm gonna keep submitting as I ride for the rest of the month. They mentioned that when you submit more than five in a month they roll over your rewards into the following month. They'll allegedly pay you starting the following month for any excess. Maximum of $25 per month.

  • Signed up this morning. Submitted a few ride receipts & was told that they are requiring all surveys to be sumbitted within 24 hours of ride completion in order to get the credit.

  • I'm in NYC and use Via for ridesharing constantly (usually under $4 to-from anywhere in Manhattan) - signing up for this now, will post thoughts soon.

    • I just signed up for this as well and will share thoughts.

Thanks for the note about Vias normally coming in under $4 to and from anywhere in Manhattan. With the Uber and Lyft price increases recently, I have been looking for an alternative.

    • Joined and submitted receipts from the past 2 weeks - have already received payment via PayPal in less than 2 hours.

  • Looks interesting. Read the terms which make this not a great deal for me but just so people know: you register for a quarter (3 months). You NEED to take 5 rides each month to even get credit for a ride that month. (that already disqualifies me since i rarely take that much). And if you don't take 15 rides in those 3 months, they can remove you from the list. For that second part, not sure if that will happen, because that means they're not paying you so...

    • They say they will pay you within 48 hours of your validated ride. I don't understand where you get the "NEED to take 5 rides to get paid" from. Yes, they ask that you commit to that, but from where I am reading, you will get paid for each ride you validate.
