I dropped MoviePass many months ago when I tried to use it one day and it would not work no matter what I tried. Paid cash for movie and cancelled their account.
Some people ruined Movie Pass for the vast majority of honest users. I know of one family that signed up for a small set of accounts but then passed the credentials around to family friends and even used them to bribe employees of a certain MO establishment. AMC’s program where you have to show ID matching your account is the solution.
Change the MoviePass link to the actual BI article -- Slash Film only has a weak summary that explains nothing about the changing passwords
Also they act like the "trip wire" was some awful thing but it was a dying company fighting to preserve capital -- they could either not do it and go under randomly one day or do it, fight to survive, and just even out usage over time. I don't defend them because the other things they did were awful and criminal but not everything is just crazy anti-user sh!t.
BI prohibits adblock. would rather use adblock than BI.
Glad I switched to uBlock Origin. No problems.
uBlock Origin is awesome.
If you're watching $5.99 Hulu from desktop it will block ads - you just see a 3-5 second 'loading ad' screen and back to the program - giving you $11.99 Hulu.
