Once, I had macy’s requesting a DL for a return. Did not bother me that much, I feel that I do not return as much I should’ve and if Macy’s bans me I would not care. Amazon on the other hand is a whole other animal, I would not want to be banned there and they do ban.
I think the size of the premiums on a coin can be a good indicator of whether it’s worth flipping or selling on your own. If major buyers are only offering $30 premium a coin, sure, maybe you can get $60, $80 on your own, but to me, your added time to profit, values of time listing and risk you don’t sell it.
If premiums are fat initially and then climb even higher closer to the coin’s release, there’s a good chance your multiplier will be nice and fat. For a really valuable release, might not be bad to have it graded. I got the enhanced reverse proof silver eagle a while back, had it graded as a first strike PFS-70 (with great serial number) which brought nearly $2000 on Great collections.
I stopped shopping at Best Buy after they requested my ID for returning something with a receipt that was well within the return window
Set your alarm clocks!! New coin deal on Aug 24th.
are prices out yet on any group?
I remembered when best buy warned me about returning thing too much. Havent shop there in years…
The Reyes guy from FM doesn’t seem very good at the whole Mint coint reselling thing lol
Yeah, I always thought reselling involved selling as part of the process. Little did I know…
Yeah that article is amusing only because he seems to suck at it. Confirms my decision not to mess with ebay.
Holding 7.5k in coins because?????? Sends his wife to meet shady coin dealers a 30 min drive away. Baffling stuff but amusing like you said.
I have only read the article about The RIsk Equation, but I am equally outraged about the other three articles as well.
Customers having a “risk score” for returning products is creepy but sadly not unexpected. This is probably just the tip of the proverbial iceberg of how much data businesses are collecting (and not sharing) with us. I wonder where this lawsuit will go and whether it will set a precedent with other businesses or even areas outside consumer retail.
