- Barclays Poaches Citi Executive to Be Card Unit CEO by WSJ. I’m surprised Barclaycard hasn’t made a bigger push into the U.S. market especially with the cap on fees in the U.K.
- Missing Your SPG Amex Sign Up Bonus? You’re Not Alone by Travel Codex. This is an issue that has been popping up a lot on reddit as well recently, I saw some recent datapoints of some of these bonuses finally posting so there is some hope.
- How I did on those The Weeknd tickets by Miles Per Day. Ticket reselling is something I’d definitely get more into if I wasn’t spending so much time on the blog.
- The Fine Print: No Justice In Small Claims Court by Frequent Miler. That reads to me as a broken legal system. One thing I hate is the delay tactics large corporations use to prevent justice from being served.

My Amex bonus always post automatically. No callings or whatsoever. It usually posts within a few days after required spending are met. No later than billing cycle date. Chase UR don't post till the end of the billing cycle. Yall are a bunch of whinny. Take a chill pill and grow up.
Right on Eric!! (Hopefully not the son on the president)
Since Amex moves their IT department to India (not just customer service), this issues pop up more and more frequently.
I applied for the SPG Business card April 1, met the $5 spending June 18. I'm still waiting on the 25k SPG points. I contacted AmEx support last month and was told 8-12 weeks for posting. Next statement closes in about 10 days. I'll be calling again if the points aren't on by then. Previous Amex bonuses (Delta, Hilton, SPG Personal) have been on the next statement for me.
^^met the $5k spending.
I'll hit the $8k this month
This kind of "problem" is typical of Amex: signup bonuses that don't post until you call, regular cash back earnings on new cards that don't start posting until you call, earnings from special offers that don't post until you call, etc. Their customer service reps are always polite and friendly, and they always blame it on a "computer glitch," but the pattern of these "glitches" always seems to work in Amex's favor. It's one of the reasons that I prefer not to deal with Amex.
