Okay, assuming the Schwab purchase of TDA is going through, will there be a period when I can do a fee-free full transfer out of TDA (because I don't want an account with Schwab)? Does anyone know if Schwab/TDA is required to set a period like this, and when it would be?
My coworkers (thankfully unaffiliated with "TD-Schwab") are saying RIP employees. As once Schwab buys you, your life will be misery and the only happy aspect is when you leave. Also lot of broken promises to employees/former owners on reinvestment in the business. Probably good for competitors though to steal top talent! and won't lie: Commission-free options trades (hopefully without horribly butchering/ridiculously inflating your 1099 "income" and taking literally months to fix it the way robinhood does) sounds pretty cool!
Better milk the TD Ameritrade bonuses before Schwab axes them!
TD Ameritrade is one step ahead of you... they seem to have recently reduced their bonuses, e.g., only $300 instead of $500 for $100,000.
Hmmm, Catch Me if You Can wannabe...
