Recap: New Hyatt Brand, Apple Withdrawals Difficult & More

  • At most banks, if you open an account, transfer $100k in, and then transfer it out days later to a different account then the depositing account, you’ll get flagged and there will be delays. Apple Savings / Goldman is no different.

The one “issue” may be Apple Savings doesn’t have a way to show transfer delays in the UI, meaning the monies appear missing for a while.

    • The more appropriate name for GS is GarbageSacks. They do the same thing with Marcus, basically they force you to use your savings account as a short term CD. Any time you try to move money out they will create issues for you. They systematically lie that they tried to call you to confirm a transfer but couldnt get hold of you, etc. They will lock you out without informing you and all that non sense.

      • I was told my Marcus my funds are locked for 90 days unless you move it back to source account (which I closed). There's also no disclosure/documentation for any of this so you can plan accordingly. I do love their platform and how easy it is to move around but these hidden rules are a pain.
