• SW regular seat pitch reduced to 31 from 32. 32 worked great for me. 31 is nasty. I used to like flying SW. 

• The Venetian status match is worthless unless you legitimately want to make it a place to earn points playing casino games. No hard benefits like free food or resort fees waived.

• Southwest Airlines: Were like every other airline now! So make sure to keep flying with us for absolutely zero reasons.

  • 2 Free Checked bags even with their Basic Economy fares and flexible ticket refunds/credits? Feels like you get a couple of upgraded perks for no extra cost.

• Question about the IC Ambassador Status. Was looking at IC Ljubljana in a couple of weeks. Sunday rate is $350 or 68k IHG points, monday rate is $201 which I was planning on using my Amex FHR credit on. Do you think I can book the 2 nights through Amex and get the Ambassador free weekend applied to the Sunday rate?

  • I don't think they will stack. The Ambassador night is actually a free night loaded up in your IHG wallet, like the credit card free night. It's also not applicable to all room types from my experience. If you want to test it out, you can always book the rate if it's refundable via FHR, then call in and try, but don't be surprised by "no...". FHR is technically a full service travel agency booking, so who knows.
