LifeGreen Business Checking – $10 Monthly Fee

Referral Bonus $150

There is also a referral bonus you can receive in addition to this $300 bonus (bringing the total to $450). This has worked in the past on the personal account, but it is no guarantee to work this time around. You can share your referrals here.

Our Verdict

As far as I know we’ve only seen the $150 referral bonus before. I’m not entirely convinced you’ll be able to stack the business bonus with the referral as it requires opening in branch, but I guess it might be possible? Either way the $300 bonus is worth doing if you live not too far from a branch, have a business and $5,000 to spare. Because of that I will be adding it to our list of the best business checking bonuses.

  • On Dec 28, 2018 I opened an account with $5000.
Completed transaction requirements in less than 30 days.
Received, and keep receiving all the emails in reference to account (statements etc)
    Never received the bonus.
Kept my balance of 5k till June, now its 2,500 to keep it free.
June 2019 went in branch and inquired about the bonus, submitted all print outs with 300 bonus invitation email and details. Was waste of time - nothing came out of that .
On Aug 27,2019 Submitted complaint though CFPB, with attachment of $300 bonus invitation.
Received e-mail (from CFPB) on 9/11 that bank needs more time.
Received SNAIL mail today (9/16) from Regions bank (dated 9/9/2019) that there is NO evidence to support my claim. No phone, no email to contact back on this little piece of paper, just a name Anthony Persons [Branch resolution team] .
There is an attachment in the CFPB complaint - that resolution team choose to ignore.
The letter suggest that I bring evidence (if i have any) to my local branch!
I have done it in June, will do again, but at this point it seems as a circle with no way of resolution.

Any Suggestions ? I followed THEIR rules...

  • Has anyone closed this via message or phone. They are telling me it has to be in person. There is a zero balance.

  • 12/29/18: Opened
    1/23/19: Met requirements
    5/1/19: $300 bonus posted

*received an email congratulating me on the $150 bonus, have not received yet

  • The referrals worked: got a $50 and $150 gift cards today. Not sure exactly which one is for what. Perhaps one is for referring, and one is for the person being referred.

    • Got the $150 card yesterday as well. I like that it is a gift card and not added to account.

  • 5K deposit went in on 12/26/2018. I should be good to remove some of that 5K now but still eligible for bonus, right? Appreciate anyone who can confirm who has done this one already. Thanks in advance!

    • Yes, I removed half of the $5K on day 62 and got my bonus, afterwhich I called the BM to do product change to an account with funds I'm comfortable to sit there without babysitting account. I received the referral bonus $150 VGC ahead of the $300 bonus for meeting all requirements. I'm just waiting for day 182 to close account.

  • Deposit 5011 and 10 $1 reloads Dec 2017, 60d would have been Feb 7 2019. No bonus.
However, I received a Regions personal Chk bonus Jan 2019. Used two seperate emails bt personal and business. Looks to me like its one bonus or the other. Win some lose some.

    • Give it a little more time.

"If earned, the bonus will be issued within 120 days of meeting these requirements and will be in the form of a credit to the new checking account which must be open at the time the credit is issued."

  • 11/20/18: Opened in branch with $5,100. Used referral from DoC poster. Met all requirements within the next month.
1/23/19: Pulled $2,500 out of the account.
2/4/19: $150 referral bonus gift card received in the mail.
    2/28/19: $300 bonus posted.

    Thanks DoC!

  • DP bonus posted today

Opened 11/7 in branch with $100 deposit

Made sure AVERAGE 60 days balance was $5K. Pretty much calculated what amount I needed to keep when and how long. But never had over $5K continuously for 60 days. Fluctuated b/w $200-7500 as overall idea was to have $5K average.

2/7 bonus posted as Marketing Reward $300

Also the referral didn’t stack. Self referred before opening but said ineligible on referlive site eventually.

    • what state did you open your account in? the promo email says that you need $5k from day 1- day 60, not an average. i signed up on dec 30th and deposited 10k on jan 5th. I hope they can do the average for me too.

      • Indiana state and you definitely don't need over $5k for 60 days. Your average over 60 days needs to be over $5K

      • Banker looked at some internal document and told me that you only need 5k on day 60. I believe he was the regional manager.

    • Opened acct mid Nov with $5K deposit half of which were MOs. I used a referral I found here, received the $150 VGC on Jan 28 and $300 bonus posted Feb 13. I had $5K from day 1 to 60, ACH pulled $2500.xx on day 62. I called BM to product change to LGBC with $10 maintenance fee waived with $2.5K daily balance so I don't have to babysit account. Just waiting on day 181 to close account. I didn't want to remember to spend at least $500 monthly to waive $5 monthly fee on the LGBSC account.
