Update 9/29/21: Chase insider EosHuffer says that there is nothing to this rumor.
There is an unverified rumor that Chase will announce a premium Hyatt credit card in the coming weeks. The source is FT user WScottsdaleInsider who spoke to a Chase supervisor. As far as rumors go this one isn’t super reliable as I’d think we would have heard from other Chase insiders regarding such a card. We’ve also seen rumors regarding a premium Chase Hyatt card before (seems we get such a rumor every year since 2017). I would think launching a premium Chase card would make sense, but it’s possible Chase doesn’t want to cannibalize it’s own market share by competing with the Chase Sapphire Reserve card.

My P2 and P3 are 5/24 ready. https://creditcards.chase.com/worldofhyatt/naepb?CELL=69T0
fantastic! 150,000 hyatt points go a long way! As soon as we get to 4/24 im in for two. Only decision point is timing around the $100 yearly hyatt kickback.
That is correct. And now we can get 10,000 extra points by referring them from the personal card. The Hyatt referral generator was down this morning, and now it is open and you can refer to both cards.
It seems that there will be a Hyatt business card after all.
a business card is out...doesn't look very interesting to me
Killed - Good !
Agreed. It surprises me how many people complain how far Hyatt is "behind" all the other hotel chains who've watered down their loyalty programs to basically nothing.
You can't have it both ways. Endless card options with extremely valuable SUBs and perks always leads to worthless points and nonexistent upgrades.
Ill be thinking about how worthless my marriott points are while I am chilling on the beach in Maui for a week at my $700 a night hotel.
I sure hope so. Hyatt only comes with 1 card and it is a consumer version. IHG, Hilton, and Marriott all have multiple versions including a free, low annual fee, high annual fee (premium card) and business versions their cards. Hyatt is missing out. And Hyatt recently did a refresh on their benefits making the top tier of their 60,000 points harder to reach, thus opening the way for a more premium card. I don't have a Hyatt card yet but with this new premium card, I am definitely going to apply for it. Just got to wait a few more months as I don't want to apply for too many credit cards in a short period of time.
exactly. Hyatt is woefully behind compared to hilton and marriott credit cards programs. Also they dont offer 5th night free. Boo.
Even without 5th night free a much better redemption value than Marriott with the 5th night free.
The reason Marriott and Hilton are better is because there are more credit cards. You can easily get five nights or more at a luxury resort in Maui. Hyatt cards can get you two nights if you do two personal cards. Yes you can augment with chase but you can also use chase in Marriott and Hilton. I’m btw I rotate through hyatt, Marriott, and Hilton annually.
Hyatt is relatively smaller chain compare to all aforementioned brands. Smaller market share translate to smaller prospect loyalty applicant. Hence they can only afford single CC product.
If they launch, I’m guessing it’ll carry same 4x Hyatt earning but some extra bonus cats at 2x or 3x. Benefits will include Explorist, 10 elite nights, and same ENC per spend as regular card. They’ll justify $450+ fee with priority pass, Hyatt credit, and better free night cert. It can’t earn points or ENCs at better rate than $95 card because otherwise it’ll cannibalize the existing Hyatt and CSR too much
Nooo! just launch a Hyatt biz!!
We'll all be globalists.
Nowhere to sit in the lounge, and sorry, all suites are already taken...
surprises me because this usually does not happen. Maybe it helps to actually book sometimes using USD?? I've had multiple suite upgrades and access to the lounge is a given... When I'm visiting Hawaii or a very tourist heavy area during holiday season it's a different story but usually I think globalists get offered decent benefits.
Believe it when I see it
It'd be weird if they weren't at least considering it. Many hotels and airlines have multi-tier offerings. United recently added more options and they're with Chase too.
